<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>No such movie</div> I can't believe you said that. Just because you never heard of it.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Saw The Prestige today, its not good enough to be in the excellence part, its a good movie though</div>I liked The Prestige, but it was really hard to follow imo. You have to suspend belief for the movie to work the way it does. And I think that's hard to do with how real/serious it was trying to be. And by that I mean the machine actually working.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I thought the Prestige dragged out too long..and you couldnt pick a character to side with.</div>Were you supposed to side with one of them? I thought it was just telling of two men who let their obsession get out of hand.
Well, usually one of the "rules" of film is theres supposed to be somebody you root for, and you side with. Half way into the movie, I (and others) sided with Hugh Jackman, but then tthat changed...I dont know..I guess you could say it didnt have the "fundamentals" of a film, but that doesn't take anything from it...just isnt made like the prototype film.
what I liked about the prestige was it was one of the most intellectually stimulating films of all time, if not THE most. The plot wasn't phenomenal, but it was a movie that you had to think to watch. It made Memento and The Usual Suspects look easy to follow in comparison. And that's what I liked about it. Perhaps I'm ranking it a bit too high because I saw it recently, but it was definitely one of the better movies I've seen in a while.
The Prestige was a really good movie in my opinion. Only problem was that I didn't feel for any of the characters. I didn't care who won the rivalry....
The Prestige was pretty good, but it was incredibly hard to follow. I liked the storyline, and the ending was shocking but I had to pay close attention to every part of the movie or else I would miss something big. It doesn't help that I came into my friends house 30 minutes after it started...<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah Balla they making a new How High... can't wait.</div>Whose in it? I can't find anything about it on Google or IMDB.
The fact the guy had a twin was real shocking but the fact that his new bodies he would make them drown it was obviousAnd honestly for me it wasnt hard to follow at allIf you really liked The Prestige, watch The Illusionist came out a week before it, Edward Norton is in it, its a lot easier to follow and shorter, its more of a emotion magic movie instead of a real serious one

If you don't know halfway into it, you don't watch enough movies. But it is a good film, an actors movie I might add. Norton, Giamatti basically cut loose.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The fact the guy had a twin was real shocking but the fact that his new bodies he would make them drown it was obvious</div>It was the opposite for me, I thought it was easy to pick up Bale's companion as his lookalike or twin. The tank thing like I said you had to suspend belief that the machine had worked. I thought at firsthand it was the drunk lookalike of Jackman's in the tank. Did not know he kept replicating himself till near the end.
I don't know who's in it... I just saw it on a hip hop site... like one of the topones and they talked about Red's new album and How High 2.

It was a pretty good movie but WAY too predictable. Magic and murder were the only things those movies had in common.
The Prestige was alright, ive alot better. I knew that that was him the entire time. I thought the Prestige was somewhat predictable with some parts of the movies. I didnt like the end though, it seemed like it was set up for a sequel.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I didnt like the end though, it seemed like it was set up for a sequel.</div>I don't see how that ending leaves room for a sequel. It just shows a Jackman clone dead in the tank. Bale is going off with his daughter and the whole feud is over with.
If you mean the clonse on the walls, I dont know if they were dead or alive..btu figured alive, which could be set up for a sequel..which im positive they wont make one...but still.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>If you mean the clonse on the walls, I dont know if they were dead or alive..btu figured alive, which could be set up for a sequel..</div>They were dead, that's where Jackman put all the clones he drowned after every show.
