The Blazers play the Warriors twice in the next 6 Warrior matchups, 3 games from now (Dec 17th in Portland) and 6 games from now (December 23rd in San Francisco).
I think Green should be suspended at least 20 games due to his being a multiple repeat offender, and the last case was only a few weeks ago. Some of these are straight up assaults.... But I mainly just want a better draft pick from the Warriors.
Kuminga has had a great few games and Green keeps the uncertainty of Kerr playing Kuminga alive. Keeping Green out that long might help the Warriors more than anything. Green used opportunities like the Lee injury to cement his spot on the team for the next decade.
I still think Green helps them overall. He's still a very good all round player. If I'm he Warriors, I'd actually look to deal Green to a contender for picks/young players. They may think they still have another shot at getting hot and contending again.
I would swing low on Green if I’m OKC, but not this year. I think they’re going to need that kind of guy eventually to put them over the top.
I don't bet... So please help me out. If I put $100 down that Draymond will be suspended for 1-10 games (+500), how much would I get back if I were correct?
When odds are expressed with a plus (+) or minus (–) symbol followed by a number. They are American money line odds; for example, +200 signifies the amount a bettor could win if wagering $100. If the bet works out, the player would receive a total payout of $300 ($200 net profit + $100 initial stake). —investopedia
BankTeller is correct. So in your example, if you gave the sportsbook $100 for a Draymond +500 ticket for a 1-10 game suspension, and you won, they book would give you $600 back. Your $100 bet plus $500 winnings. If the line were -500, you'd need to bet $500 to profit $100.
Looking at this thread for the first time, remind @THE HCP the protections on this pick. Lottery protected?
Seems like 10-15 games is what people think the suspension will be. This is going to be a major try out period for Kuminga. Draymond does so much for the Warriors though. If the Warriors struggle and are still several games out of the play-in, a real savvy move would be to trade Grant to the Warriors for Wiggins and Joseph, they unprotect their 1st round pick this year, and also send us a top 6 protected 1st in ‘26 (top 4 protected in ‘27, top 1 protected in ‘28, unprotected in ‘29) and the ‘28 ATL 2nd. Now it would be all about take Wiggins on as a reclamation project for the next two seasons. Wiggins came into a bad locker room situation despite having so much talent and would now be a vet to a great group of young guys if he landed here. He makes less than Grant does over the next two seasons, and the third season at $30m is a PO, which he’ll likely decline unless this season is an indication for the rest of his career. 38-40% 3pt shooter the last 3 seasons before this one.
It's "protected for selections 1-4 in 2024 and 1 in 2025 and unprotected in 2026" per... https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/future_drafts/detailed
i'd go with a 5 game suspension for Draymond. Maybe less. The NBA will probably stick behind everything Green lied about during the presser. It was not a swing of anger towards Nurkic. It was an accident. Draymond apologized, minimum suspension. The Warriors need to win games, and by golly every team needs a Draymond Green.
How could any logical person watch that replay and think it was an accident? He spun around and smacked Nurk in the side of the head, completely unprovoked. There's no excuse for this one.
