J.R. has definitley brought it this year. He's unquestionably the leader of the team now and along with Murphy seem to be leading an inspired attempt at quieting the critics and working the W's out of the basement of the NBA. With Dunleavy, he just outright disappears sometimes. Maybe getting a bucket or two in the first half. He's got to comeout, and cut to the basket. At 6'10 he should be able to cut, get big, get the ball and at least make an attempt at the basket. Most of the time, Dunleavy's just standing either right inside of the three line or just outside, with his hands down either tugging at his shorts or just not ready to catch the ball. I really like what Murph's done with his game. Picking spots and only shooting J's from the two or three spots he's comfortable with. Top of the key J's and 3's and the nice shot from the baseline. He's supposedly working on a jump hook and with the advent of his outside shooting, he's been able to get to the basket a few times with some nice handle on the drive. But Dunleavy needs to either hover right inside of the three line and always be ready to catch the ball and post on a smaller player or cut through the lane and use his "smarts" to either dish or dump it in. All in all, JR and Murph showed signs of deserving the money they received this year in their third year, i guess Murphs second year since he was hurt last year, but Dunleavy needs to pick up his ppg about 5 a game and also show a little bit less of the "Duke" defense which can be equated to getting within two feet of the offensive player and flopping.
