    Cabrera, Chisum, Judge, and Stanton have left 19 runners on base tonight....NINETEEN.

    Yeah, I saw him getting high fives in the dugout and I was thinking the same thing.

    Kahnle needs to come through here...but he seems to give up HRs in tight situations.

    Judge needs to get it together. Nobody is asking that he has to carry the team but his post seasons really make it hard to just celebrate regular season success.

    Yanx win, but considering how they played as a team tonight,...they really didn't deserve it.

    Take the win and hope for a much better effort. They need Judge to wake up and DH Dominguez.

    Verdugo earned his spot tonight. Solid in left and they don’t win this one without him. Now it’s up to others especially Judge to come through.

    Fans of the New York Yankees desperately want a World Series and they want their players to be just as hungry. So watching a Giancarlo Stanton essentially jog the basepaths grates.

    Either Stanton is the slowest player in the majors or he's not giving it his all. Seriously, there are NFL offensive lineman who could run 90 feet quicker than New York's No. 27.

    Twice, Stanton's lack of speed or effort cost the Yankees in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Kansas City Royals. Trailing 3-2, Staton couldn't make it home despite Oswaldo Cabrera hitting a ball into center left that Kyle Isbel couldn't quite wrangle.

    Most other base runners would have turned this into a run.

    The unfortunate reality like Michael Kay said is that’s how he runs now. He’s obviously incredibly slow but also can’t really round bases without slowing up. The bottom line to me is that you’re not gaining any with him in the lineup. His at bats are mostly terrible. Just waving at anything up there. Sure he can hit a mistake a long way but so can a lot of others.

    It seems like they play Stanton just because of his idiotic contract and big name. Mess as you said above he is pretty much useless

    Yup, I see no downside in giving Dominguez a shot at DH. You can always pinch hit Stanton late but outside of that he offers nothing. A ton of bad at bats waiting for the sporadic homer.

    Stanton just hits mistakes left over the plate now. Better pitching in the playoffs and the fewer mistake chances he gets. You hope for the walk because otherwise he’s chasing pitches.

    Here's Boone's latest BS;

    Yankees manager Aaron Boone was asked if it’s realistic to execute their plans on the bases with someone who’s running at “half speed.”

    “He’s more than half,” Boone said. “It’s a controlled gait that he knows he has to get into. He’s burned himself when he tries to throttle back up or down. That’s when he knows he’s been (compromised). It is something you kind of have to live with. Whether you’ve seen it over the years with a particular player who is incredibly slow but still impactful, it’s just something we have to accept.”

    ============================================

    Umm, no Boonie...we should not be asked to "accept it".

    Judge is batting .135 in his last 20 playoff games. It’s time to wake up if the Yankees want to make a serious run.
