Is anyone else watching this massacre? Magic Johnson said it best: This is the best team ball the Lakers have played all season. They certainly took this game seriously--a lot more seriously than San Antonio.
I was coaching a basketball game, so I couldn't exactly watch (NJB tournament this weekend), but I do get the updates via text msg by quarter, then I opened up the pbp for a bit in between games. I was surprised by the 1st Q text I got, for sure! Keep this up, it's only one win. We need to play like this for the remainder of this trip and season, cause even if we start this break 1-0, we could still lose out, if we don't focus and perform.
Impressive win. PJax said Assistant Coach Chuck Person has been responsible for the tweaks on defense and firing up Bynum. The Lakers offense still needs improvement, but our defense has been outstanding during the win streak. Hopefully our bench players got the message after PJax yanked them even though we had a 32 point lead.
I don't think we need to improve our offense at all--unless it is incorporating more touches for Bynum. I know when we were up 30 Phil called a time out and laid into Steve Blake for not working the ball into Big Drew. Love the defensive tenacity from Drew...hopefully he keeps it up.
Been waiting all season for this team to play to its potential. Last night was an excellent win. dont know what was said to Bynum, but since the all star break his activity on both sides of the floor has been great
More playmaking, less shooting for Kobe. More of Lamar Odom. More toughness and less pussying out from Pau. More touches for Bynum. More bench play. Then we're golden. Glad they're finally showing heart.
I still think we are turning the ball over too much and aren't consistent with our 3 point shooting. The offense has issues with being stagnant on times and it allows teams to stay close. I'm really proud of the way Bynum has been playing of late. He's embraced his role as being the defensive anchor and is getting after the rebounds. Glad to see the guys encourage him after his strong play.
Where is huevonkiller rant about our smashing of the SPURS? Same team that SMASHED Miami.... Ooooooooooooooooo!!! I hate bandwagon fans! Especially the ones that used to be SO CALLED LAKER FANS!!!!
