The superstars that are entertaining are getting old. That's the problem.

Doncic is probably the biggest younger star with a personality at the moment. There isn't a prime Lebron, Durant, Kobe, MJ etc.

I think he made almost that much with his NIL deal last year alone. Had a friend working on the Netflix doc last season and said he’s had his own place since senior year of HS.

Bucks were last in the east, before winning 1 game against the worst team in the league. With that win, they climbed to 1 game out of 8th, and 2 games out of 3rd.

Bad start to the season to be sure but their schedule gets better the next couple weeks. They do have the Knicks and Celtics at home coming up.

Curry belongs on that list. KD doesn’t.

If Caitlyn Clark was playing in the G league the tickets would be more expensive.

That has nothing to do with my post. The Blazers would have salaries regardless. My post was about the draft pick return from the Dame trade that we sent the wizards for Deni. I'd much rather have that pick back. It didn't make sense to send out picks from role players when our starters are so unknown.

If we look at salaries your statements are actually basically backwards; the Blazers did the Deni trade to CUT salary and duck the tax.

yeah, this concern about the team salary floor is really overblown

the rules of the minimum team salary are pretty simple. Teams can be way under the floor in the off-season. They can use cap-space like they always have. The main change is that teams must be at or above the floor when the season starts. If they are below, their effective cap is adjusted upward to the floor. And the punishment is that any team below the floor when the season starts can not collect an tax disbursements at the end of that season (you can bet the Vulcans know about that rule)

the league-wide effect is that once the season starts, the maximum cap-space any team can have is 10% of the cap

anyway, the salary floor this season is 90% of the 140.6M salary cap. So, the floor is 126.5M. Portland is 41M over the floor and 27M over the cap. They were in no danger of being under the floor

So who will take Doc’s place once he’s fired? MIL has to do something, even if symbolic. Both Dame and Giannis are delivering the goods but the bench sucks. Will Middleton really make a diff at his age? I dunno.
