Teams cycle and churn and burn and turnover. Young kids need vets. Can we not keep a vet or two? I like Grant. You need some semblance of balance, youth and wily vets.

I mean, you get a ridiculous offer, you have to take it. But let’s be smart about it.

He's just so far out of our window though. And I think he'll have some really good value to a playoff caliber team. We just really need a good young forward.

Exactly this, don't let the Vets stymie growth, but we do need vets to keep the young bucks from getting too rowdy and uneven. We need that steadying presence in the Locker room. Grant has a great laidback, but strong presence, exactly what we need. Also, Billups says Brogdon is that kind of guy as well. I also really liked Ayton's presser where he said he wanted to be that Vet presence AND that no one will question his motor next season. Music to my ears!

Again, if you see a no brainer, say Mikal Bridges for Simons and Grant, you take it. We aren't in any rush, use the same strategy we used with Dame, patience and waiting for the right deal(s) to come along. In the meantime, we have that vet presence helping the young bucks mature.

He’s at the forefront age-wise, but it’s not unrealistic that at the of of his deal, if we’re competitive, he could that wily vet leader.

Again, by all means, we got some trades that improve our stance, make ‘em.

I think this is why Brogdon stays, at least for now.

Guys like Andre Miller contributed much more than their stat lines.

I like this; let him be a culture fit and veteran for the guards. They more than anyone need guidance as young kids (especially someone like Scoot, who might think he's more ready than he is).

I hope Jerami raises his new child in Portland and sticks with the Blazers. He'll be 33 in 5 years when his deal is up. I don't think with the cap a lot of teams are going to look to overpay for him either. You need some vets. He doesn't seem to get bothered about his role or his minutes so he's a perfect vet. We finally have some depth at PF so we don't need to play him into the ground. Keep him fresher for playoff runs. I can't remember this much balance or depth on the Blazers in ages.

That sure seems to be the plan…along with converting him to the starting SF that the team has been missing for so long. Love it.

Foolish move to trade Jeremy to trade Jeremy. Echoing others.. only if an impassable offer is on the table. Otherwise he fits many current holes for us.

My question is does he have the foot quickness to stay in front of other SFs? I know he fits the role of the three on offense; it's the other 47 feet that concern me.

Man, I would love to pair him with a 6'10"-6'11" guy at the four.

I think thats the plan. We just haven't found the quality big rebounding defensive pf yet. But what i love is when we do, we have the assets to get him.

That actually sounds like a healthy Zach Collins. Man, that one set us back.

I know. I was big on him. If we had kept him he would be the perfect addition

Collins is a center. He has always said he’s a center. Neil just refused to accept that.

Camara is a legit 6’8-9 PF who can also probably play some 3. I think Jabari and Kris could both play the 3 but Rayan is a natural 3 already and 7’1 John Butler Jr is also a 3
