Humphrey is a first round rookie. Trybanski is a rookie prospect. And Knight isn't that bad.</div> dickerson is not better than penny
Last time Dickerson played an 80 + game season (2 seasons ago) he got 18.2ppg. Last time Penny played an 80+ game season (1 seasons ago) he got 12ppg.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "Spartanfan2003":</div><div class="quote_post">You ask why he wants Penny? Well he is a University of Memphis fan and Penny went to the University of Memphis.</div> thats what I was thinking but i wasnt sure.
its not because he just played for U of M,its because he would be a great sixth man for us,he would sell tickets and is loved by the community, giving up Dickerson and some of our extras wouldnt hurt us,Dickerson would fit better in Phoneix then he has in Memphis
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting JWillTheFreak:</div><div class="quote_post">That trade will never happen there is SALARY CAP in NBA and in that trade they dont matter</div> What? You never make sense..... This trade works cap wise(from RealGM) Memphis trades: SG Michael Dickerson (4.8 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.3 apg in 14.5 minutes) PG Brevin Knight (3.9 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 4.2 apg in 16.9 minutes) C Cezary Trybanski (0.9 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.1 apg in 5.7 minutes) SF Ryan Humphrey (1.9 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 0.2 apg in 9.3 minutes) Memphis receives: SG Anfernee Hardaway (10.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 4.0 apg in 30.7 minutes) Change in team outlook: -0.9 ppg, -1.0 rpg, and -1.8 apg. Phoenix trades: SG Anfernee Hardaway (10.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 4.0 apg in 30.7 minutes) Phoenix receives: SG Michael Dickerson (4.8 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.3 apg in 6 games) PG Brevin Knight (3.9 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 4.2 apg in 55 games) C Cezary Trybanski (0.9 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.1 apg in 15 games) SF Ryan Humphrey (1.9 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 0.2 apg in 48 games) Change in team outlook: +0.9 ppg, +1.0 rpg, and +1.8 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to Memphis and Phoenix being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Memphis and Phoenix had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
salary cap dude knight and dickerson makes mad money and trybanski makes 1.3 penny makes a lot 2 BUT this trade would never happen
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting JWillTheFreak:</div><div class="quote_post">salary cap dude knight and dickerson makes mad money and trybanski makes 1.3 penny makes a lot 2 BUT this trade would never happen</div> THAT CAME FROM REALGM. IN OTHER WORDS, IT FREAKIN WORKS UNDER THE CBA. SOMEHOW I TRUST THOSE EXPERTS MORE THAN YOU. And why wouldn't it? Dickerson is set to retire. And in 2 years, his contract is done. Hardaway's contract is actually a year longer than Dickerson if he retires this year. Hardaway has a player option after this season, which he will pick up(to ensure another $29 million over 2 years.....he wont leave that behind). So Phoenix gets a shorter contract. A guy in Humphrey who would be their hustle guy(ever team loves to have one). A Center with size who can be a decent backup. And a backup PG. Barbosa will not be better than Knight this year. So Phoenix solidifies the PG spot behind Marbury as well. Phoenix has plenty of reasons to pull this. (assuming Johnson is ready to start).
And just to inform you, JWILL: Hardaway- $13.5 million -------- Knight- $5 million Dickerson- $6.1 million Trybasnki- $1.6 million It adds up. "Salary cap dude."
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SpartanFan:</div><div class="quote_post">Last time Dickerson played an 80 + game season (2 seasons ago) he got 18.2ppg. Last time Penny played an 80+ game season (1 seasons ago) he got 12ppg.</div> Penny has better stats in rebounding, assists, and steals. Dickerson has better stats in points. Penny also has a better career FG%. Dickerson has the better 3 pt FG%. Dickerson barely edges Penny in FT %(78% to 77%). Id rather have Penny's all around game(when he is healthy) vs Dickerson's scoring(when he is healthy).
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting JWillTheFreak:</div><div class="quote_post">what about humphrey 1.1</div> I forgot to add him to that. Hardaway- $13.5 million -------- Knight- $5 million Dickerson- $6.1 million Trybasnki- $1.6 million Humphrey- $1.1 million = $13.8 million So take 13.8/13.5(since both teams are over the cap). You get 1.02. Or, 102%. Is 102% less than 115%? Yes. So it works. Now do you care to explain to me why this doesn't work? I used realgm to prove it. I used hoopshype then for salaries, where I arthimatically proved it works. Now explain to me why it doesn't work, like you said it didn't.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting JWillTheFreak:</div><div class="quote_post">and Dickerson is not better then penny</div> Back it up with reasons please.
