For the shit they have to offer, it's Ayton or nothing. No Timelord for them!

This place has already gotten pretty bad. It'll be downright insufferable if Ayton and Ant are here next year.

Well true - but I can't imagine how bad 2028 with Grant still here would be.

Kind of sucks if Grant value is so bad we have to attach a FRP to move him. You may be right though.

Do not give up a FRP to get rid of Grant

I don't think Shams says that there's a lot of interest in Jerami if that interest is teams who want him and a pick to make things work.

Shams said Ant, Jerami and Rob... he didn't say Deandre so I'd assume he didn't find any teams that have Ayton with positive value but I would assume he found teams that had positive value on the other three. The only thing I worry about is if other executives' positive value matches what Joe thinks but for Ant and Jerami it better.

I wouldn't either, would just hope to get to the summer and he can be flipped for an expiring.

Just sucks having soo much pointless $ on our cap for years with these 5 useless vets.

I'd rather them sit there on the bench for 5 years than give up a FRP to get rid of them.

Maybe if he's parked on the bench he'll think about rebounding and upping his value.

I do not believe the value of Blazer vets will go up because of good performance, That's a pipe-dream. It might go down because of bad performance though, and this season is probably the example of that

The only way the Blazers might get more for those vets than the current market is when they are on expiring contracts, although I think that value is likely overrated. Another way they might get more is if a contending team has an injury and needs to plug a hole. But there will always be cheaper alternatives in undersized SG's who are poor defenders, like Simons. This might work for Grant but the possibility seems remote

I think Ayton has negative value with the flaws he has and his salary. That's not going to change, IMO

Timelord? I am skeptical any team will move a 1st for him, but I suppose it's remotely possible. But he missed 76 games last season and has already missed 21 of 32 games this season. The clock is already ticking loudly on his next injury

matching Thybulle's offer sheet was one of Cronin's dumber moves

Sounds like a season-ending injury for Ivey…if the Pistons are aiming for the playin/playoffs, Ant could be a good patch, especially with his outside shooting. They don’t have many big salaries, but Ant for Ausar/Hardaway probably works. Pistons lose a young prospect, but they just drafted Holland at forward too. Seems in the realm of reasonable.

Yeah, that was more of an aside. I don't expect any of their values to increase. But maybe if Grant were fighting for playing time he'd have incentive to get a few rebounds.

Sacramento is getting desperate. I would try sending them Grant for Huerter ( 1 more year) and Lyles (ending contract) plus a first.
We also decrease our salary cap by almost 5 million. Not sure that works but ESPn Trade machine says it does.

Grant is not really what they should be looking for.

I wouldn't be interested in Ausar. He's not as good as Amen and is a worse shooter. I think the last 8-9 seasons in Portland have shown that a bad-shooting wing is not much of an asset unless they are elite at a couple of other things. Ausar isn't

I'd shoot for Simons for Hardaway+Beasely+lottery protected 1st. I'd settle for a little less because both players are on expiring contracts

What are they looking for...that they can afford? A rebounding PF who can score? Those are hard to come by.

Agree. We are set with wings who can defend but can't shoot. As much as fans here hyped him last year after a good start, I am not sure he is better than Murray, let alone Camara or Deni.
