He's ruder and more obstinate in interviews than Wallace ever was, even when his team wins. League should fine his white ass...oh wait, he's white. Never mind.
It's not about being nice. He acts like a dick to people who are just doing their job. It is part of HIS job to talk to these guys. You don't have to give away your strategies or anything. Just have some class and be courteous at worst.
Actually, talking to the media IS part of the job. If players being rude to the media get fines, why shouldn't coaches?
He doesn't owe it to anyone to be an ass, either. Being a dick just to be a dick indicates a severely flawed, narcissistic character. Sad for him.
I don't think players being rude should get fines. Wasn't Harden rude to that one reporter? Didn't get a fine. All this "nice nice" crap is bullshit anyways AFAIC. I'm glad there are guys that have an edge. It doesn't affect us personally anyways.
Perhaps he's had a bad experience in the past with media reporters who always try to spin things for publicity sake.
I think it's just that he's been answering the same questions over and over again for the last 18 years and he simply can't bring himself to offer the same canned answers over and over again...and he's a prick.
It is obvious that people in here have forgotten what Bill Parcells was like. If we are talking "bad with the press."
