Well there wasn't a thread for this game, so I thought I'd make one. At half time, we are down by one. We were up by like 12 with 10 min left in the 2nd quarter. Then the Trail Blazers went on a 23-8 scoring run. 39-40 at the Half. We are on our way to 4th pick in the 1st round.
Disappointing finish to the half. Yao was shooting like crap the last time I checked the live updates. Sorry about no thread today, I got home just 30 minutes ago.
The announcers are completely retarded. Yeah, its true that every team has to deal with injuries, but not to the extent of which the Rockets have had to deal with.
Yao started only hit 3 of his first 13 shots, but nailed 7 of his last 8. Strong performance hy him. Any news on what happened with T-Mac?
Good win baby!.. woot.. but i still dont think we can make it unless we go on a 7 or more game winning streak starting with these 2 included

He was in pain after that, though he continued to play for most of the third.
espn said it was his back again. I think Tmac knows when he is going to be fouled so he extends his rotation to make his shot go farther and when he does he stretches muscles in his back causing these spasms. This couldn't have come at a worse time too because our schedule is bad in the weeks to come.
Good thing Yao picked it up and carried the Rockets to the win, because if they had lost, I would've lost all my optimism for the season. After a horrible start, Yao really took control in the second half. Too bad Mcgrady got injured again. Hopefully, Mcgrady is fine and won't miss any time. If he is out, The Rockets have a decent shot of winning the next two games if Yao plays like he did in the second half of this game. Here are some interesting notes about this game: - Yao took a technical FT. He must be the tallest player to ever be chosen to take a technical. - Alston had more blocks (2) than Yao (1) - The fifth game this season where Yao took 20+ shots, and 13th of his career - As expected, Swift followed the last game with this medicore performance. - Chuck Hayes had a pretty good game considering he only played five minutes. 5 min, 3 reb (2 off), 1 st, 1 ast, 2 pt, but he also had two fouls and 1 To. All he needed was a block to have one of everything. -After the game, Van Gundy called Yao “undoubtedly the league’s best regular season center” This is a longshot but does anyone think Yao is going to takeover Mcgrady as the Rockets leading scorer this season. Their respective PPG averages have slowly been going in opposite directions. I did not see the game, so I could not continue my Swift watch.
I'm glad T-Mac didn't look that bad when he stepped our from the court. Even though there is no doubt about his pain, he looked as if he was casually walking out of the court.
Looks like a great game by Juwan Howard, scoring 11 points on just 8 shots, and getting 11 rebounds. Zach Randolph was also held to just 15 points. Another terrific game by Yao, these past two weeks must have been the best of his career so far. While this win does boost our playoff chances, a win against Portland is nothing to be proud of, especially when you take a long time to start pulling away.
but have u notice yao i believe yao can be a sole superstar now and continue to win some games if mcgrady healthy i believe the rockets can be a dominant team but dats a big if
no i don't think yao can overtake t-mac as the leading scorer. I am just happy yao is in the 20/10 club. finally after 4 yrs.
