I'm not saying the Jazz are the better team or anything I just thought as a fan of neither team (I actually want Utah to lose because of my hatred for that organization) that the officiating was piss poor in the final period.

<div class="quote_poster">Marbire Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Jesus I didn't even see that. 25 free throws in a quarter? Was it the 4th? They could have missed every damn shot and missed 5 of their freethrows and still put up a decent quarter.</div>

Yeah they flashed a stat during the 4th quarter. At one point San Antonio had 22 FTAs, and Utah had ZERO.

This is a point where Stern needs to look at his Refs and say something. When one team has 22 FTA and the other 0 FTA, you know something is wrong. No team goes through a game without fouling, especially when it comes to a guy like Boozer or Williams driving to the lane.

So basically what all the critics are saying is that they disagree with a lot of the referees calls. This is news? EVERY SINGLE YEAR this happens. Dallas fans complained about Wade's calls. Sacramento fans complained about every Laker call and non-call. etc... This is nothing new. WHy don't you all just take the officiating with a grain of salt and enjoy the game?

People don't take this like a grain of salt, because of the way the Spurs beat the Suns. How they played to get there, and how they continue to flop and play in roles to get calls. Wade isn't a flopper, he got calls on the offensive end. In the spurs series, they get those calls, plus ones on the defensive end which are boarder-line to horrible calls.

The Spurs a great team, don't get me wrong. However, what gets done for them, is just not right, IMO.

I agree, but I think most calls are out of respect for the player.

A player like Duncan or Wade or Manu have respect for the Refs, they get the calls. It's all about how the Refs see you as a player and how you play, IMO.

A guy like Bosh gets calls, because he is fouled, but sometimes there isn't much of a foul. But he has the respect of the Refs, and the Refs now that.

I remember like 2 or 3 years ago, Reggie Miller kicked up his leg when he shot a three, and got the call. Right there, respect from the Refs.

That's all it is, Respect. You do the right things, you get the calls.

Since when are refs supposed to give calls based on respect for a player and especially the city they are reffing in? I mean, if that stuff is true (and i'm not saying it is - it's just speculation) then there is something seriously wrong with the league.

and you don't think anything is wrong with the refs "respecting" one player more than another....

I'm not saying because of the city, I'm saying it is based on the player, IMO. The refs have more respect for a guy like Duncan then a guy like Uros Slokar. Because Duncan has been around, he gets the calls, while URos has done non of that.

I do, did I say it was OK, I'm saying to me, that is what it seems like, and most likely is, IMO. It is wrong to make a call based on the player, but I think the Refs are bias toward certain players because of who they are and what they have done. Wade got more calls, because of how he was playing, everything was going his way. Manu go a charging call when his foot slid on Millsap because Manu gets more respect then Paul Millsap would because Millsap is a rookie, and Manu has been there, and is an experienced floper.

I think all this is complete garbage honestly. Many Spurs fans were moaning about the lack of calls and lack of respect in game 3. Timmy got hacked alot in game 3 and was called for bad fouls which because of failed to get into the game.

Please bare in mind that Utah foul the most out of anybody while the Spurs the least. It's no surprise to see so many fouls called on the Jazz. Thats what they do.

I can confirm this, actually. I went to church last week. God descended from the rafters, knocked me in the teeth, dunked a basketball over me, and then flopped to the ground as I tried to edge past him towards the exit. It was really something. It's a shame the pews were so empty.
