So he wasn't running away? Seems like he was charging at the cop?

FERGUSON, Mo. — Michael Brown, the unarmed black teenager who was killed by a police officer, sparking protests around the nation, was shot at least six times, including twice in the head, a preliminary private autopsy performed on Sunday found.
One of the bullets entered the top of Mr. Brown’s skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when it struck him and caused a fatal injury, according to Dr. Michael M. Baden, the former chief medical examiner for the City of New York, who flew to Missouri on Sunday at the family’s request to conduct the separate autopsy. It was likely the last of bullets to hit him, he said.
Mr. Brown, 18, was also shot four times in the right arm, he said, adding that all the bullets were fired into his front.

The bullets did not appear to have been shot from very close range because no gunpowder was present on his body.

I would say the cop had a bad case of fright, very nervous. He was pulling left with most of his shots, probably jerking the trigger rather than coldly squeezing them off with complete controlled confidence. No doubt the reason why so many shots.

Shocking. One group finds out their martyr got shot half a dozen times, and the other side looks and acts like central power stormtroopers.

Yes, we can both agree on the stormtroopers, but the other side, or at least a few bad apples shot other people and threw Molotov cocktails.

I totally understand the outrage on many levels from the killing of an unarmed teenager to releasing video footage of him stealing cigars at the presser where they were to release the policeman's name who shot the kid, to violent provoking by the police, to being militarized to the point of invasion. 95% of the bad acts in this fiasco fall on the police, but that doesn't mean that, especially last night, the protesters shouldn't also be condemned for their bad actions too.

When I went to bed at midnight, the info was that there were no gunshots from the crowd and that the molotovs weren't lit. Sounds like I was operating under old info.

95% of the bad acts fall on the police???

Dang, I don't know how anyone can come to that opinion??

Nor do I understand why anyone can think the police should turn over the name of a Cop
to a lynch mob. Mind boggling.

The police didn't burn any property, they didn't call out the lynch mob. they didn't call in Al Sharpton to bang the drums.

We don't know what the hell this kid did at the trigger moment, but we do know he was not running away like the "witnesses" have said, the bullet hole in his front side hide don't support the report. We do have evidence that the "witness" might be more accurately described as an accomplices.

I wonder what would happen to the Cop, if the police did turn him over to this band of concerned citizens one of these evenings? Would they hand him back and be satisfied, go home? ummm, perhaps they would want another in short order.

95% might be hyperbole! but yes! I believe the VAST majority of bad acts are by the police, at least before last night.

The police called the presser to release the name. Most likely because of a freedom of information act filing. In other words, the law compelled them to.

They killed a teenager, arrested members of the press, kicked protesters, shot tear gas into crowds without proper warning. They showed up militarized in vehicles meant for Fallujah, they wore camo and carried full tactical gear and weapons where they were supposed to be promoting peace and letting protesters speak their minds, they aimed en mass their rifles directly at innocent protesters (something any of our troops know is not appropriate), they cursed and told protesters they would kill them or beat the fuck out of them. All of these protestors I am referring to are protesters, not looters, people with signs and using their constitutional rights.

We do know that he was unarmed, even according to the police.

The cops name was provided. As far as I know, he is fine. I'm sure he is elsewhere, which is smart as there might be some who would want to hurt him. But that doesn't mean he is above the law.

Perhaps this fellow's constitutional right need to be deferred, at least until he and his partners are subdued.

You know, a 290 pound kid is not unarmed, check him out treating the Korean store owner to his timidity. I think you will see the reason man invented the .38 and more to the point of why the cops carry one.

If the people of this town have a beef then recall the Mayor and fire the police chief, get it running like you want. Holy Cow!, I can't every get over this shit of burning down the friggin town!!! That is the most stupid reaction a man could come up with, but damned if a few neighborhood in America don't do it, over and over again.

First off, the kid may deserve to be in jail, time will tell if the officer was truly fearing for his life for a valid cause, of someone who freaked out too easily and took a life over a relatively minor offense.

But considering the high rates of reported abuse cases, I'm not so sure the officers are trained correctly down there.

But then all the protesting is a different issue. And the looting is a third issue. Don't trample on protesters rights because of what dome looters did. And yes, they were discernible. Shots of tear gas going into crowds of people chanting with signs and walking together in the street are expressing their right to free speech.

Just cause the police spend their training hous on swat team and military man oeuvres doesn't mean they should employ those tactics. When all you have is a hammer, everything is a nail. Officers of the peace, they need to try and inspire peace, not ratchet up the situation and look at law abiding citizen and press as the enemy. A good officer need not worry what the press capture.
