    Jimmy Butler.

Looking at the market there aren't a lot options. You have to either swing on a Jimmy Butler or stick with the underperforming Batum.

He's one of 11 or 12 people in NBA history to get a 5X5. He is special.

How many other players his size can guard PGs like cp3 and Westbrook, but also guard lebron and Kd?

Stotts is a player's coach and sometimes I wish he wasn't as mellow as he seems. I try to imagine what Pop's would say to him if he played on the Spurs

Probably more important is what he wouldn't say. Pop gives one of the meanest evil eyes looks you have ever seen. He also flat out gives his players the complete silence treatment when they get pulled for doing stupid shit.

    9 PPG
    7 RPG
    5 APG
    40 FG%
    35 3PT%
13.8 PER (second worst of his career)

He's pretty much on track to duplicate his numbers since he signed his contract - solid but still has never taken his game to the next level.

Parsons set the bar - Nic will get a max offer.

If you're Neil, do you still consider Nic untouchable?

Not if it is Max. Bye, bye. Anything less than max then he is back imo.

Pretty much this, if he gets over 12-13 a year you gotta let him go and I'm a big Batum fan.

One thing to think about is Nic is signed after everyone else so even if you let him walk you don't have Cap space to sign a replacement. You would have to sign and trade him.

    He's getting the max.

Combine that with the new TV deal, his next contract is going to be absurd.

Remember how it was working with his agent a few summers ago?

I'd avoid that any way possible. Offer Nic/RoLo for M. Gasol.

Parsons pretty much got a max and Nico is better then Parsons. With all the cap space teams are going to have because of the new TV Deal teams will spend like there is no tomorrow because owners never learn and Batum is the type of player every coach is going to want and a bidding war is very possible.

Batum is better at assists and rebounding, but certainly isn't better at scoring than Parsons. I think the market for him won't be huge, since he's a glue-guy for a team that's already contender.

If you toss out Parsons first year and take Batum since stots has first came to portland, which everyone can agree that Batum is a very different player then the sit in the corner and shoot threes that he was under McMillian, then compare them Batum shoots a better % on everything and only scores less then 2 points a game while taking two less shots a game.
Ill post the basketball references when i get home cant really do the comparing from basketball reference on my phone.

I'm starting to think the thread title should be changed to "Batum Cracker Thread" because people are claiming he's playing like a club-footed white guy...

Batum is definitely not worth the MAX

He's hardly even worth what he's being paid now

I forget he's playing at times as he just doesn't make a big impact on most of the games.

    He's also shooting a sweet 32% from 3
