I am sure that is accurate. She was my senator and state attorney general and always very well spoken. Clear and articulate and grammatically correct.

Vice president Harris gave a major speech at international security summit last week. She pledged continuing support for Ukraine. Also stressed importance of alliances.
Two things she did not say. She did not invite Russia to "do whatever the hell they want" to NATO allies. She did not say Putin is more trustworthy than US intelligence.

so she cares about Ukraines border and not the US border. America first.
And why are some of the NATO members not paying their share of the alliance? Those countries arent 34 trillion in debt like the US.

There are no fees to pay to pay to belong in NATO. The treaty sets a target of 2% of each country's GDP to spend on their own defense forces.

I didnt say fees. In 2023 10 of the NATO countries are at 2.0% or higher. France, Germany and Canada are all below the threshold.

The 2% commitment is a guideline, not a requirement.

    The 2% defence investment guideline

In 2014, NATO Heads of State and Government agreed to commit 2% of their national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to defence spending, to help ensure the Alliance's continued military readiness. This decision was taken in response to Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea, and amid broader instability in the Middle East. The 2014 Defence Investment Pledge built on an earlier commitment to meet this 2% of GDP guideline, agreed in 2006 by NATO Defence Ministers. The 2% of GDP guideline is an important indicator of the political resolve of individual Allies to contribute to NATO’s common defence efforts.

In 2024, 18 Allies are expected to spend at least 2% of their GDP on defence – a six-fold increase since 2014, when only three Allies met the 2% or more guideline. Over the past decade, NATO Allies in Europe have steadily increased their collective investment in defence – from 1.47% of their combined GDP in 2014, to 2% in 2024, when they are investing a combined total of USD 380 billion in defence.

In order to ensure that these funds are spent in the most effective and efficient way to acquire and deploy modern capabilities, NATO Allies have also agreed that at least 20% of defence expenditure should be devoted to major new equipment. This includes associated research and development, perceived as a crucial indicator for the scale and pace of modernisation.

Extreme Court doing Trump's bidding by not only rehearing whether former president has absolute immunity from prosecution for any crimes but also delaying for months.

Washington — The Supreme Court on Wednesday said it would decide whether former President Donald Trump is entitled to broad immunity from prosecution for acts allegedly committed while in office, teeing up another blockbuster election-year showdown that could have major ramifications for the federal criminal cases against him.

The unsigned order from the high court granted special counsel Jack Smith's request for the justices to decide the issue. The justices are set to decide the question: "whether and if so to what extent does a former president enjoy presidential immunity from criminal prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office."

The court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, will hear arguments in the case during the week of April 22. Its order indicates that proceedings in the case will remain on hold until it issues a decision, expected by the end of June.

Seven week delay before beginning. Consensus is the claim has no legal merit but delay could mean the case won't come to trial before election. Justice Department regulations are to not act in cases that could impact elections within 60 days of the election (which Comey blatantly violated).

Deciding the issue now will prevent an appeal later on.

Or more importantly, destroy Trump's defense strategy. That's the only defense he's offered publicly.

They probably aren't deciding then, either. Probably they'll wait till July and then rule that the lower court needs to study the issue further.

Biden tried to pass a border bill, the Senate GOP shut it down, thanks to Trump, so they (and you) could continue acting like Biden doesn't care about the American border.
