I’d love to have an actual offensive coordinator. But I feel like any offensive coordinator would be a direct threat to Chauncey’s job if he doesn’t make huge strides with play calling and such. I dont’t think Chauncey hires one unless management made him, and I see them making him.
Imagine Lillard would be as invested in Billups playing hard ideas as young guys are now. We could have really nice team. I don't think years Lillard was here shouldn't count as Billups years. It wasn't his team. He basically started this year.
Last 5 games for Shae: Ast-to: 5-1 4-0 5-5 6-2 3-3 It’s going to be an eye sore at times, but you can’t deny Shae is developing just right in the playmaking department.
to me, it's pretty clear that Sharpe has the kind of all-around talent that perennial all-stars have the question is does he have the ambition to work tirelessly on his skill-sets, and the drive to demand the ball and take-over games. It's a huge step up from beta-dog to alpha-dog and most players never take that step, or even try to
Yeah last night he just played within the flow of the game and all of a sudden he had 25 pts, very efficient game and he scored on some really tough drives and that was impressive, we got a gem in Shae. I think Scoot will be fine but it's gonna take some time, might get to top tier level but I'd be happy with a good Distributor who plays good D and gets 12-15 PPG,
I also don't think people improve as much as he has without drive and hard work. We just don't see that part, as he is publicly quiet. I have no doubts about the guy long-term. He will be a star.
I think we have to compartmentalize drive to improve from drive to win, or even dominate. I don't doubt he has the first; I don't know that we've seen evidence of the second. Perhaps its because of the other larger/more experienced personalities that have been around him so far in has nascent career, but we've routinely seen him blend into the background in big moments. Not every time, but certainly often enough for it to be a question. But again, he's all of 20, so absolutely nothing is decided yet.
Doubling his rookie ppg isnt enough for you? I really don't understand this narrative that is building around Shaedon. What is the expectation here? Even KD didn't show this complete takeover mentality well into his 3rd/4th yr and he had a yr of college ball under his belt at this stage.
Its a legit question. Im hoping we get a Vince Carter type from him and if so, i think we are set and should use grant/brodgon and picks to go after that missing pc. Buck Williams type power forward.
