What you posted is still a nine man rotation

That would leave us a 10 man rotation of:

    Dame, CJ,
    CJ, Crabbe, Henderson
    Harkless, Crabbe, Henderson
    Love, Davis, Leonard
    Mozgov, Davis, Leonard

Others: Kaman, Frazier, Montero, Pat C, Alexander

    1 Dame
    2 CJ
    3 Crabbe
    4 Henderson
    5 Harkless
    6 Love
    7 Davis
    8 Leonard
    9 Mozgov

And I say no. Not until I have a better picture of Vonlehs ceiling.

Good catch and I agree with you about Vonleh. It does bring up the question about how other GM's view him as well. What is his trade value? Do they see his potential yet? He seems to possess the ability to guard all types of PF's. In the post and on the perimeter. He has decent handles, can run the floor, and is a good passer. He is starting to show he can score inside. If he starts hitting that mid range jumper.....look out.

Lets see, Love does not play and Cavs look much better, especially on defense, one game is not a trend but is this guy overrated? IMO yes and if he came to POR considering his salary and what it might cost IMO that locks us into becoming a treadmill team. NO THANKS for me

Why wasn't this a poll question when the OP is a question?

These trade threads are getting ridiculous. You guys should start a trade thread for every player in the league.

well how bout I used an older thread to comment instead of starting a new one? And whats ridiculous is you suggesting "trade threads" are ridiculous, its that time of year that we focus on the upcoming draft and free agency and trades and discuss it - what is your problem with that? If you don't like it don't read it, go have a brew Bob and chill out

Yes and no. I predicted Cleveland to win at home regardless if Love played. But I agree he is not the type of player who matches up against GS. Aminu is a better option.

But as I pointed out after game one......Cleveland is undefeated at home in the playoffs, even with Love. And they have looked very good in all of those games. That is also a trend.

Not sure if he is over rated....anymore. Everyone knows his weaknesses. I would never give up much to get him, but I would for just cap space if we could not land any of our other FA targets. GS is just one team and I would not change our roster ONLY to match up with them. Even if they are the champs. It's hard to find bigs who match up well against every style. We need to have versatility with our bigs. And Love can help us against a lot of teams.

Even if Olshey wanted to trade for Kevin Love, which I don't think is/was a good idea, even then, the Blazers really don't have the assets to be able to pull off a trade like that without including either Lillard or CJ. No Thanks!!

Because 75% of these trade threads are totally unrealistic, highly unlikely to happen. Just seems like a waste of time to me.

This entire board is a waste of time. What makes one waste of time any better/worse than another?

Maybe then, but not now. No way IMHO will Love command that type of compensation this summer. I agree with your "No thanks" comment if he did. My guess is absorbing his contract is the main asset. Cleveland has the highest payroll in the league and they need to re-sign "whats his name" this summer.

Totally agree. Love's trade value has now approached "zero". And that, IMO, is the time to trade for someone who use to be considered a good player. Ideally we get him for cap-space - but I don't think CLE can afford the humiliation that would entail. So I'd give up one of Aminu or Davis, and either a 2nd rounder or Alexander. That's my final offer. :)

Nobody is going to offer CLE a CJ-level player for Love.

Low risk high reward. Sure he could end up sucking for us, but he also could be so humiliated that he could use that embarrassment to prove people wrong. Just don't give up too much to get him and keep our expectations low.

All it takes is for two teams to want him to create a bidding war.

Kevin, where'd you get all them dimes from?

Dame and Kevin seem to have pretty good rhythm together. ;)

IMO a bidding war for Love still won't net them a CJ-level player - just more future assets and maybe the difference between an Aminu-level player and a Ryan Anderson-level player.

It remains to be seen. It really depends on how badly either team (or both teams) want him.

The ultimate question is whether Cleveland can figure out its cap and luxury tax situation that satisfies the owner and organization.

That is, if they're willing to pay the LT again, massively, they can just re-sign their players (including Love's salary) at whatever it takes.

Love would still fit in great in Stotts system.
