Well, he is not a great 3 pt shooter (35%) but he is 86% on free throws so maybe he would do better on a team where he might get more open shots? I couldn't find what his % is on wide open shots. His strength is defense so I have been watching him lately to see how his offense is coming along.
I'm wondering now if they won't wait until summer to make a trade, just to delay another year before they go into heavy tax area. Although if they got someone like Jalen McDaniels, they wouldn't have a problem until he signed a new contract.
They would be stupid to say anything but that. (The quote was "almost" untouchable) Saying otherwise hurts a player's trade value and their confidence. Not a smart idea to do with a young player. Plus who is Hayne's source? I would assume it is Dame not mgmt
How much potential does Reddish really have? Has he shown anything above role-player ability at any point in his NBA tenure?
I mean, he has more length than most of our wings and I still think there is untapped potential there. What would he cost though? Would they take Nas and Keon or Justise and Keon... and is he worth those guys. Really hard to gauge on either side of it for me. Wound Justise, Nas and Keon get you Reddish and Toppin. Then you'd be increasing the size of our bench substantially but I don't know if the Knicks would be interested or if we even should be. It is interesting though. With us giving up an extra player in any of those trades we would also have to want someone who is currently a free agent/gleaguer or have a target on the buyout market. As far as the Cam and Obi thing goes, even if you think we're getting too good of a deal on that which is probably the case, our front office also would likely do it unless there was another deal that got us under the tax because that deal alone puts us into the tax and we'd still have to add a min contract on top of it.
They've had their reasons to give up on him but they also had their reasons for initially wanting to see what he has. He's extremely athletic and has for periods of time been able to shoot from three. Not a needle mover, so I guess I actually don't give a shit about it. It's really hard for me to know if he's worth what we'd likely have to give up for him or to know if what we could give up for him would be enough for the Knicks.
I mean fuck it if we’re in this let’s win now mode with Lillard even though we won’t, I’d be down for trading for DeRozan. He’d be a much better combo than he and Simons and would at least diversify our offense. It’s either shoot your best shot at winning now with Lillard or go full on blowup for the future mode. None of this in between shit
Apparently a fan of the Raptors wants Anfernee for OG (ok, other parts as well). https://raptorsrapture.com/2023/01/...rd&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=flipboard
Trade Grant for very good picks. Trade GP2 to the Warriors for all their recent draft picks Trade Ant for great draft picks. Trade Hart for whatever. Bench Nurk. Let Dame and Shae shoot 35 shots each per game. Go full tank for picks the next few years and do a proper patient rebuild with a lot of good youth.
The gamble I suggested a couple weeks back on twitter was: Nurk & Little For Isaac & Carter Jr. Isaac being the gamble because of injuries, but if he can stay healthy we get great size and talent. Why would Orlando do it? Who knows.
