Re: UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans I'm going to start adding polls for the main event of each card in the fight card threads :]. I'm excited for this fight. I was more excited when Forrest was on the card, but w/e, I'm just excited for Rampage and Rashad to duke it out, finally. The card itself is just average, but the UFC will get my money because of the headline. I also think Cyrille Diabate/Luiz Cane has FOTN potential. Should be an awesome stand up war.
Re: UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans 'Page has been off too long and he doesn't seem interested in this fight. He loses.
Re: UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans Rashad wised up a little bit in his last fight using his wrestling to rack up points on Thiago Silva until the 3rd round. He'll likely do the same against Rampage but I don't know if it will be enough to save him from this fight if Rampage comes to the fight well conditioned. I have little confidence in Rashad's chin and he thinks hes a lot quicker than he really is.
Re: UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans I am really torn. Part of me says Page is going to overwhelm Evans and KO him. The other part of me can't get around the idea that Evans is smarter than Page, and has already climbed inside his head.
Re: UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans Normally I would be for Rampage . . . but after watching the series with the two in it, I'm now pulling for Evans. I know Evans is cocky, but don't you have to be (to some degree) in this sport . . . especially with a monster like Rampage breathing down your back. Evans never backed down or flinched and seem to care about his fighters more. Anyways, for me, Evans came out the classier fighter in that series.
Re: UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans Last time Rashad fought, he almost got KTFO by Thiago Silva after wrestling him for 2 and a half rounds. Rampage is a pretty good wrestler and can eat a shit load of punches/knees. A punch isn't going to KO Rampage. I mean shit, it took more than 10 knees from Wanderlei to put him down for the count. Rampage may be slower than Rashad, but they're going to have to exchange sometime and Rampage will connect. If Rashad tries wrestling, he won't be strong enough to keep Rampage down. I'm sure Rashad will have a great gameplan that consists of leg kicks and TD attempts. Hopefully Page has learned to check a leg kick by now. I just don't see any way possible for Rashad to get a W other than lay on top of Rampage as best he can.
Re: UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans ^you see.. rampage's ego is too big for him to check leg kicks.. he is in there just to knock evans out.. his ego is what going to make him lose..
Re: UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans I wonder if Duffee is going to put Russow to sleep inside of 2 mins or will Russow get his hands on him and drag it to the ground? Does Duffee have a ground game? We may find out.... or just see an exciting and quick KO.
Re: UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans (May 29th) Funny how Diego Sanchez has gone from headliner to nary-a-mention undercard fighter. John Hathaway is a good young fighter but UK fighter vs. wrestler usually goes wrong for the UK fighter. Dunno much about Russow. Should be a good test for Duffman. Oh yeah!
