I don't know if Maurice Ager belongs on that list, I think Shannon Brown deserves it more. Maybe it's just been the two games I was tracking, but it seems like Ager disappears sometimes. Against PSU, with Paul Davis hurt... 3-19, 10 points. Against Ohio State, in 2OT, 1-11, 2 points (hehe). I also think Rudy Gay and Gerry McNamara got on that list just based on their names.
Wow Taureen Green made the list. Congrats to him, although I doubt he's one of the 30 best players in college ball. Good to see him get some recognition!

Ager's numbers are better, but he's not nearly as talented as Brown, and Brown has shown up every single game this season for the Spartans (when he hasn't been injured of course). Ager, on the other hand, has really taken over games and played like an All-American on multiple occassions, but then when it seems to matter most he's nowhere to be found (although this really wasn't a problem until Big 10 play). Ager needs to just stop forcing so many outside jumpers and use his athleticism to go to the rim and make something happen. In the Penn State game for example, when Ager shot 3-19, the Spartans had only been to the line twice with a couple minutes left in the game. He just kept throwing them up there from the outside, regardless of how much defensive pressure was on him. Still, given the way he played in non-conference play and about half of the Big 10 games this season, I'd definitely put him on the top 30 list, just not over Shannon Brown.
How does Leon Powe & Aaron Afflalo NOT make the list? Gerry McNamara get out of here. Whoever made these ballots and votes on this crap doesn't follow college hoops very closely.
