I have Group G as my group of death, but I can't argue with D either.

Ghana have a fantastic team with Essien, Muntari, and Appiah in the midfield. They also have Kingston in-goal who was great last World Cup.

Serbia are very close in the runnings with Ghana, and I'm definitely not ruling them out. Those predictions are just my gut feelings.

Great draw for the US. You can't count your chickens before they hatch...or your defense before Oguchi Onyewu can walk, but they should be able to get out of that group. It will be very exciting to see the US going into a World Cup where there's not just a chance of making it out of group play, but we'll be favored to make it out. Very much unlike last year's group with Italy, Ivory Coast, and Czech Republic.

Here's who makes it out of the groups for me:
    A - Uruguay, France
    B - Argentina, Nigeria
    C - England, USA
    D - Germany, Ghana
    E - Netherlands, Cameroon
    F - Italy, Slovakia
    G - Brazil, Ivory Coast
    H - Spain, Honduras

D and G are both groups of death as I would put Serbia and Portugal through in just about every other group.

As for my other commentary, I think everyone is sleeping on Uruguay. As I said in another thread, there are few teams in the world that can match Suarez and Forlan up top and they will bring Uruguay through the group stage.

I like it even though we're in one of the tougher groups...

How did both Mexico and France get so lucky? France, especially, deserves to be in the GOD. (which is group G)

Here is mine.. which is fairly uninformed and not much different than yours. I like to watch Premier League and MLS, but don't watch a lot of international competition.

Group H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile
Group G: Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal
Group F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia
Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon
Group D: Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana
Group C: England, United States, Algeria, Slovenia
Group B: Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea, Greece
Group A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay, France

If the US doesn't win I will definitely be rooting for Spain. I alwalys liked watching Raul play.

I'm not filled with confidence. We've been playing like crap lately (nowhere near as good as the last World Cup Finals), and we'll have to play out of our skins to even make it out of the group.

I think that was going to be the case regardless. The team needs to overachieve. I don't think Serbia is that great but Ghana should be a tough test for you.

I work with a guy who spent his teen years in Australia. His wife's family is Serbian. He is definitely nervous about this group. He sent me Jeff Carlisle's analysis on the group that definitely didn't encourage him.

the US got a great group. it won't be easy, but there shouldn't be any excuses for not advancing(even with the injuries).

i wonder how mixx feels about bosnia's group.
