    Yanks SP....

Eovaldi has basically been proven to be a high velocity batting practice guy. Whatever it is about his stuff, hitters recognize it and crush it. And because of his "stuff" he'll get tons of rope any time he shows any sign of learning how to pitch. I dont see it ever happening. At least he isnt a...

    Game Thread Yankees @ Mariners 6/3/15 3:40PM

I dont expect to see him until 2016 unless he gets red hot. He's not exactly setting AA on fire. 8 HRs in almost 200 ABs with 54 Ks. OPS is solid at .849, but I think they'd wanna see him sustain at the .900 level for a good period before promoting him to AAA.

    LATEST JACOBY ELLSBURY NEWS

DLsbury is what I called him in Boston. Guy is glass, but a good ballplayer when on the field. Talent & durability go hand in hand. Which is even moreso the case for Tanaka who owes us a run through October without another injury.

    Yanks SP....

Team stats are what they are, but let's not over complicate things. CC Sabathia blows. Chris Capuano blew for 3 starts. You replace Sabathia with a league average SP and our rotation stats get better quickly. Ideally a month from now the rotation is Tanaka-Pineda-Warren-Nova-Eovaldi. And I've...

    This day in baseball.....

Players gave a shit yes. However the world and the sport itself were far different. Games were played during the day. Every player was white. The average player worked a 9-5 in the offseason. The average ML player was the size of David Eckstein. Baseballs were hand woven. There was no accurate...

    According to today's NY Post

I still want Didi sent to AAA to work on his offense in hopes of making him a player. Drew is a better defender than him. Both of their bats blow, I have more confidence in Drew coming out of it. Give Didi June in AAA with Refsnyder while Drew and Pirela play. Maybe we can call both of them up...

Would you guys be okay with this?

Yes, his D is terrible. He did have an .816 OPS in May and they replace him with Young late in games. I think more days off where he gets a 350-400 AB pace between spot starts in the OF and being the 2nd DH he could be even more productive. May bought him June so we'll see how he does. In...

    According to today's NY Post

We've looked to the farm this year. I've heard Brian Cashman talk about Refsnyder several times. They are aware of him and they are watching him. There is no traffic on the road. There is no construction. The only thing between him and the Bronx is him.

Would you guys be okay with this?

I think Beltran can be serviceable as a 4th OF where he gets more rest. His bat has shown some life in spurts even though a lot of his hard contact has been right at defenders. His exit velocity is strong. And the guy is an absolute money postseason player. If he continues to struggle they can...

Would you guys be okay with this?

    2 of these 4 guys need to step up or be replaced in a month: Beltran = 12/63/242 Gregorius = 6/33/215 Drew = 15/45/160 Sabathia = 6-21 with a 5.67 ERA

    According to today's NY Post

I'd play Pirela and move Drew to SS personally. I wouldnt call up Refsnyder right now, see no reason to unless he plays much better. If a guy is on pace for 40 errors I dont consider him a prospect unless he is a stellar hitter. He needs to work on his craft. That's to be done in the minors...

    This day in baseball.....

There is very little about people who lived in the 20s and 30s that I am envious of including getting to see Ruth & Gehrig. It was a different world. Baseball was a different sport.

    According to today's NY Post

He'd need to be a .733 OPS guy in the majors to make up for his D. He's a .733 OPS guy in AAA....he is far from ready. He's probably a hot streak from getting his chance, but what he's done in 2015 leaves much to be desired. He's on pace to make 40 errors at 2b!
  15. B

    According to today's NY Post

I'm not calling either of them a bust, my point is regarding chances. Pirela is 25 years old. Eventually you need to kick the door in when you see it's cracked open. I dont see the proof yet that Refsnyder would be able to hit ML pitching when he has a .733 OPS in AAA and no power production...
