Maybe, I think he put him in to buy time for his bigs and the spurs were up so he thought what the hell. Just a bonus that he had the game he did. I personally like Baynes myself, but Pop had this thing for Ayers early on and Baynes could never get off the bench, then he was injured.

Funny, last series all we were doing was bitching about them. Belly was a no show, Mills was marginal, and Baynes played 6 minutes. Diaw was good and of course there is Ginobli.

The problem is that the blazers started so poorly, and the game became lopsided so quickly that you can't really get a read on what worked or not and why. By the time the blazers got it going a little, the game was out of hand. I think the blazers need to come out strong, keep it close early...

Thought both of them played pretty well. Splitter has a harder assignment guarding LMA which took him out of rebounding position, but by no means did he walk all over Lopez or vice versa.
