What I love about Pop

In this series, pop is showing us what a champion coach does. Also proves that Stott's is trying to emulate him

1.) Pop wore the memorial plaid Ramsey pin. He respects and honors a man that coached you play as one.

2.). During press conference, he explains "there is the right way of winning and losing". Meaning you don't give the other team a reason to play harder.

I think pop is great at long term planning, the system and player development. I just think his in-game adjustments suck. Against the Mavs, I think he should have posted up leonard all day long when ellis was on him. missed a huge oportunity in my opionion. Also, it took him too long to start having big men show hard when mavs ran pick n roll.

I also don't understand his love affair with bonnor. That man's been useless ever since he joined the spurs.

Hey - at least he did it! I've seen Stotts employ that type of P/R defense ONE TIME. It was either the last, or second to last, game of the season. It made me hopeful that it would be part of our new Playoff defense. But, I haven't seen it since.

Maybe, I think he put him in to buy time for his bigs and the spurs were up so he thought what the hell. Just a bonus that he had the game he did. I personally like Baynes myself, but Pop had this thing for Ayers early on and Baynes could never get off the bench, then he was injured.
