    Aldridge to the Spurs(Official)

85% agree. I'm less convinced about LA being a jackass. The guy is top 5 in a dozen (positive) franchise records including #2 in points and # 1 in total rebounds, and the team makes no effort to retain him? That'd be understandable if he came off a a sloppy season, but he didn't lose a step...

Hell, Plumlee is an improvement. At least his hands aren't stone.

Which is odd... esp. from Matthews. I don't think it's so much of a sign of disrespect toward the fans, but a sign of how they feel the organization disrespected them. The common denominator IS the Blazers organization, not some collective purposeful snubbing of the fans.

To your latter question: - to present sports starved Portland with a lone major league team (No, fuutbal, doesn't count) - to sell ridiculously overpriced beer to those same sport-starved fans - It's actually a social engineering experiment to determine the breaking point of the Winter NW...

I doubt it was even serious - the deal was sealed when they turned the crown over to Lillard, but it was forgone conclusion before the season's end. Hell, LA had put his house on the market.

    Deep.

    Lillard Max deal done

Not quite. Limiting your parameters to post rookie max contracts is a pretty exclusive group anyway, but the reality is that Lillard is more than quintupling his pay, and that's hardly chump change. What does make this deal unique is that it makes him the highest paid NBA guard ever... for now...

    Lillard Max deal done

C'mon, folks - a little reality check here. Lillard didn;t sign that extention out of loyalty or love, but the fact that the Blazers offered him a contract that has him set for life, and he will be - perhaps momentarily - the highest paid guard in the NBA. (Cue Curry's agent). Does Lillard...

    Will the Blazers leave Portland?

One thing to remember is part of the Timbers (charade) deal was the diversion of all spectator funds to back toward paying off the Civic stadium outstanding debt of about 36 million. Venues that used to receive this portion of the ticket sales saw it disappear even though their patrons...

Lillard flying to LA to convince LA to resign here

Hmmm, isn't this a little like putting the condom after the the wild night?
