I figured it would be around this time, but missed it by a week!

Drafting Scoot didn't change anything. Lillard declaring "Miami only" didn't change anything. When Giannis went public with "obligated to build around me", that was the game changer in dealing Lillard.

The trade took longer then I predicted. I'm glad Damian didn't get shipped to the Hornets. There are optics in this league, and trading a distinguished All-NBA leader who just wants to win, to a different really crummy team... would have looked bad.
