Frankly Scarlet, I don't give a dam. You're mucking up the forum worse with your constant whining about new posters.

Once again, not whining. Just voicing my expert opinion trying to keep our fantastic forum just that, fantastic. Just trying to help out our newer, younger more inexperienced and naive posters along their S2 journey. Let’s just think a few more tics before your little finders start to type. K? Thanks.

I'd be lying if I said that I hadn't thought several times about merging some of these random thought threads into existing ones. But I'm showing a little grace to the newer arrivals, because these are more in keeping with the style of the previous forum. I assume that people will adjust as they're here longer.

How will the newbies learn if not to lay the law down. Quick and with authority. The previous forum is sitting at the bottom of the Columbia River somewhere for a reason. I pray they adjust. I’ll quit bitching. Maybe I’ll start a random thread everytime THEY do. Ya, I’ll try that.

I have to agree that sticking to the thread topic is a good way to go but I also have to say that occasional straying is no big deal and commenting on the process, such as we're doing now, is always acceptable. A great example of acceptable straying is anything that builds positive relationships.

Beginning a new thread with unrelated subject material to an existing thread is always good.

I've known cup for years and I've always liked him. For that reason, I can accept a lot more straying than I can from an asshole.

If you guys are really having trouble with each other, I urge you to take advantage of the brilliant ignore feature. I've already used this feature on one poster in here and my stomach is much much more relaxed. Try it.

Stop lashing out at the noobs because you're bitter about being a bad prognosticator and evaluator of talent.
Now, get back to your truck!

So, which actually clutters up the forum more, all these semi-related threads, or @HCP complaining about the existence of all these semi-related threads?

Frankly, for me, it's gotten to the point where the latter is true. When I see a new thread, I can look at the thread title and decide if I want to read it. Not so with @HCP 's complaining. It pops up all over the place.

Maybe the solution is to have @HCP create a thread The S2 Rookie's Guide to Posting and confine all his whining to that single thread. Then people can choose to read it, or not. Plus, with a descriptive title, and some recommended guidelines some new posters may actually learn something.

You're thread is exactly a month old. Not really seeing the outrage in starting a new thread that is a similar subject but with updated information. If it was a week or two old it would be an easy merge but a month? That's a pretty high expectation if we want everyone to scroll through a month of posts to see if a thread they are making is similar to another one.

I must have missed that part of the conversation. That's what you get when you juggle too many threads.

Thanks Sly. My intention wasn't meant to rile anyone up but only to bring something current to the forum for discussion as my post is relevant now and like you said, so many of the "similar" type threads are buried and often times many many pages of posts to make sure I don't post the same thing as someone else already posted. I imagine if I responded almost identical in a thread a mile long hcp would object to that as well. With some people you can never win. I would think anything that generates discussion would be a good thing.

Becuase I think some like going back and seeing what they predicted for this final stretch run. Seeing what they say will happen. The new thread will be people having to repost their opinions for the one person who didn’t contribute to the original thread. Just hate multiple threads on the same topic is all. Thought you did too. And I don’t think there is any “outrage” about this.

I believe you are correct on both these points rook.

Then I'm outraged that you're not outraged.

Here's a suggestion. If you want to bitch to me or anyone else you have an issue with, take it to private message rather than mucking up a quality thread. You have now hijacked this thread and turned it into HCP's personal agenda. Maybe that that was your purpose cause you were so upset someone started a thread kind of similar even though it's different

Then I'm outraged that you're not outraged.

Well, I'm outraged that you're outraged that he's not outraged. Did that come out right?

Edit - The question is are you outraged that I'm outraged that you're outraged that he's not outraged?

I liked that I hated the way we played because we didn't play as good a game mentally as we've done against Golden State recently. 50 wins is definitely in reach, and I think we can still get to 51.

I'm cool with the streak ending here; gives us a chance to regroup after the fever breaks and get back on the wagon for the playoff push.
We had way too many empty possessions in the first quarter. We'd get a steal or a rebound and just give it right back. Going to have to clean that up.

Outrageous

I wonder what our odds are for holding down the 3rd spot. We are damn near a lock to make the playoffs, I just pray we can keep HCA. Great thread Cup.

To anyone that refers to themselves in the 3rd person: :smiley-cmizdri:

I think the whining about similar threads from two different times is pointless. It's not like the 3 spinoff threads about last nights loss. The complaining can be more cluttering than a similar thread a couple weeks later.

I didn't have to buy mine. It was part of the truck-visitation package.
