most recent repors have Al Harrington as the hold up in the trade - Denver wants him included.

Big question here - would you take Harrington to land Devin Harris? We trade Miller and Przy for Harrington and Harris. The last two years of Harrington's deal are only 50% guaranteed. It does also solve our backup PF role - but not "cheaply".

I'd do it, would you?

I would too

To get Harris, I'd do it. Harrington is a low-IQ player, but he could bring some shooting off the bench. Worst case for his is that he's bought out for the final 2 years.

miller/pryz for harris/harrington?????/

only hcp wouldnt do this deal

We are all but a .500 team this year. We will probabl;y make the playoffs because everyone elase below us sucks, but damage....really?
Did you see last night's game? I think the Blazers showed the league they can compete with the best.

They also just lost to GS. This team is decent, but decent doesn't do damage in the playoffs

The Wizards also took the Heat the final seconds not so long ago. I wouldn't say they are a team "that can compete with the best."

I can see us either taking back another bad contract like Al Harrington in a deal if they main objective is to shed salary. Camby + draft pick for Harris & Harrington is close salay wise.

Maybe a bad contract like Outlaw?

Well, I would hope batum and Miller for Harris would scare away Cho.

miller/pryz for harris/harrington should be the focus. hell throw in babbit

We will be awesome next season if we can somehow add Harris w/o giving up Batum/Aldridge/Oden. Even if we lost both Camby and Miller- it would give us potentially a very strong defensive back court and a wing scorer that must be doubled. Hollinger says that Harris was arguably the best defensive pg while at Dallas and retains his ability- I think Nate could focus him.

Exactly. If SOMEHOW Greg Oden can stay somewhat healthy, Harris, Matthews, Batum, Aldridge, Oden is a contending team in the west. Even if Oden is not healthy, LA at the 5 with a decent PF signed in the off season would do it

if we trade miller, pryz, and miller????

yep assuming we get garbage back.

Classic MIXUM.

You said the season was over about 6-7 games ago, didn't you? Do you still think you were telling it like it was?

Go Blazers

Is the league going to become a league where players dictate where they want to go, and there is a few super teams and that is the end of it? If so that will be too bad. I'll probably stop watching all together if the other teams don't have a chance.

Yeah, it's going to be hard to keep Oden. Because, as we all know, every team in the NBA wants a fragile 7-foot center who spends more time in the operating room than on the court.

A tidbit from Marc Stein

The Clippers' Blake Griffin is one of Denver's dream targets in an Anthony trade, but sources told ESPN.com that those overtures have been consistently rejected. The Nuggets have also made numerous attempts to acquire the comparatively unheralded Nicolas Batum from Portland but have been repeatedly rebuffed.

The audacity of Denver's GM! Blake Griffin, really?! In the words of Robert Di Nero - This fucking guy! SMH

That does lend some credence to the report tonight that Denver's management is "inexperienced". They might as well just ask Miami for LeBron and Wade while they are at it.

Yeh, it's amazing now that they are asking New jersey to take Al harrington (and his four year contract) also. Does Denver realize they are not in a very good position here? The only other club in the bidding is NY and they have very little to offer. They could lose Melo for nothing and also the sooner they get on with the rebuilding, the better.
