My screw the luxury tax Trader Bob lineup would be expensive and have a bench
Walton/Sabonis
Aldridge/Sheed
Dame/Andre Miller
BRoy/Deni
Clyde/Kiki

My only concern would be chemistry.

Dame and BRoy both function best as the primary ball handler.

Also agree with @42N8Bounce in starting Sheed over Aldridge and also agree with the Miller vs. Strickland. Both highly skilled and honestly, I would be tempted to start one of them and then have Dame leading the second team.

Gramps...

Notable Coulda-Shoulda Drafts. Of course, this is easy with hindsight but still, even at the time some were questionable.

1972: Bob McAdoo (vs. LaRue Martin)
1976: Adrian Dantley or Robert Parish (vs. Wally Walker)
1978: Larry Bird (vs. Mychal Thompson)
1980: Kiki Vandeweghe (vs. Ronnie Lester)
1984: Michael Jordan or Charles Barkley or John Stockton (vs. Sam Bowie)
1986: Dennis Rodman (vs. Walter Berry)
2002: Tayshaun Prince or Carlos Boozer (vs Qyntel Woods)
2004: Al Jefferson (vs. Sebastian Telfair)
2005: Chris Paul (vs. Martell Webster - but we already have Telfair!)
2007: Kevin Durrant (vs. Greg Oden)
2011: Jimmy Butler (vs. Nolan Smith)
2012: Draymond Green or Khris Middleton (vs. Meyers Leonard)
2013: Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs. CJ McCollum)
2017: Donovan Mitchell or Bam Adebayo or OG Anunoby (vs. Zach Collins)
2018: Jalen Brusen (vs. Anfernee Simons)
2019: Kevin Porter, Jr (vs. Nassir Little)

Still time for some of the remainders to perhaps even out a bit:
2022: Sharpe rather Dyson Daniels or a Jalen
2023: Henderson rather than a Thompson (or even as has been pointed out, Keyonte George doing well in Utah)
2025: Hansen rather than Coward or Queen

It really depends on era. A guy like Joel P wouldn't be great in today's game. Sheed and Aldridge would be your typical 5 nowadays.

When I typed Paxson my brain was thinking Petrie, LOL. That guy could shoot. Prime Petrie and Kiki would be a formidable 3 pt shooting tandem. And Kiki could run the floor. If Strickland could shoot the three, I would have picked him.

We should do one of these but with the worst starting five.

Raymond Felton
Luke Babbit
Meyers Leonard
CJ Elleby
Mario Hezonja (sp?)

my attempt off the cuff at a worst starting five

I feel like it should be guys that started at least 10 games for the Blazers. Yes CJ Elleby makes that having somehow started 28!!!

DeAndre Ayton
Noah Vonleh
Larry Steele
CJ Elleby
Damon Stoudamire

Supposedly, it was something said by Blazer employees during Allen's big spending era.

Tlong is saying, he's going SPAM and ignoring the $15 cap limit.

Well yeah.

Price is still wrong bitch!!!

I think I'd go Walton/Roy/Batum/Matthews/Camara. Probably puts a lot of pressure on Roy scoring, but I love the switchable defense from the other 3, and got go with Walton at the 5.

It pains me to leave Dame out, but it is too hard to pass up Walton's MVP season. With no Buck Williams to choose, that also forces me to take LA. Taking Batum and Deni allows for less of a need for a true PG. For $1, Camara is too good a value.

Walton, LA, Deni, Batum, Camara.
