The only way these people will be comfortable coming forward is if society at large makes it okay for them to come forward. Who the hell would want to come forward to get help if people are talking about killing them? If someone is born with it, and they never act on it, are they guilty of a crime? They should be able to seek help.

And they are able to seek help. Nobody stops them. If you have these feelings (not you), the hard part is going to be admitting it. Nobody will feel comfortable doing that, no matter what. Society isn’t going to become welcoming to pedophilia. Ever. Maybe that’s too bad, but sometimes things are just so bad there isn’t any way to change its perception. Those people just hopefully have SOMEONE in their life they can talk to about it, and together they get help.
