2 officers shot at Dallas Texas police protest (1 Viewer)

Al Sharpton. God bless him.

"We promised the Erics of the world that we won't stop until they change things," Sharpton said. "It may take longer than we want but we've got to get there. There's no better place to go."

Sharpton said numerous protests create a climate for change and provide participants a sense of sanity amid rising gun-related violence. He also deplored the killing of police officers in Dallas last week.

"Don't paint us as anti-cop. We are not anti-police. We're anti-wrong," he said.

Later, Sharpton led a march of over 100 people through Brooklyn. At intervals, they chanted "RIP Eric Garner," ''No justice, no peace" and "I can't breathe."

you'd think there'd be hundreds
I think the count is now 10 killed, by jacked up responders to BLM activity. Way too many, how could we be so insensitive to allow it to reach hundreds!
War would be upon us long before atrocities could reach that level.

See the Sharpton post above. To say BLM is inciting anyone to kill cops is false. People are killing cops because they're deranged and the senseless killing of black people by cops set them off.

Not one has said BLM urged them to do it.

And there's nothing to do with BLM that urges violence.

BLM has never alleged that being black is more dangerous than being a cop. The job of police officer (like that of being a fireman or a coal miner) is a dangerous one. Being a certain skin color shouldn't carry any danger level at all. Comparing the two, as you are doing, is somewhat ridiculous.

Not related, but I think you might be amused by this. Be sure to read the responses, too.

Maybe the dumbest post I've ever read here. Cops have been senselessly killing black guys for decades. Deranged people just started popping up now by coincidence? Give me a break

PTSD...a lot of these killings are coming from trained ex military...horrible series of events. Cops have a bad rap amongst the poor in many areas of the country. They have a tough job but this is a wake up call for a long history of police misconduct. There's just nothing right about this trend...I'm fortunate to live in a community with great police officers that for the most part are liked by the locals.

This is already known to be the protesters joking with some cops, who laughed at the whole thing.

CHRIS HAYES, MSNBC: Do Black Lives Matter activists hate police officers?

TRAHERN CREWS: No, not at all. And I want to put that chant in context. We had a great demonstration that day. It was very exciting. It was so exciting that I think the police who were along escorting the marchers wanted to be a part of the march or a part of the demonstration. So on the way back, the officer leading the parade kept talking into his microphone and saying things to the crowd, like, stay off the medium [sic], do that, he was laughing and joking with the marchers, so then the marchers kind of started chanting that towards him. It was more playful than anything. So --

HAYES: So that was -- you're saying, that was in a playful context, that chant?

CREWS: Exact-- at that particular demonstration, yes. That was. Because, and the officer was laughing and joking along with the protesters.

HAYES: People --

CREWS: And, and, and he, and the officer also said, when they started chanting, he said back into the microphone, everybody loves bacon.

Right wing WWW site says Micah Johnson, the Dallas killer, was a deranged man, not inspired by BLM. Unusual for it not trying to make BLM out to be encouraging the killing of cops.

The only other cops shot recently were by a gunman who was later found to be a conspiracy kook. Nothing to do with BLM.

http://thefederalist.com/2016/07/12...ah-johnson-any-ideology-is-an-excuse-to-kill/

Johnson, like Charleston murderer Dylann Roof and Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen, was a screwed-up weirdo with a ton of anger who went looking for a cause to support his desire to kill.

This one is officially the dumbest post I've ever read on this forum. You really believe this bullshit? It is already known? Ridiculous. The cop could very well have been laughing at these morons, I would have. The guy who ACTUALLY ORGANIZED doesn't deny it happened. If you can hear joking in the chant, you have a special talent I don't.

The cop in the interview, like you, weren't there.

Nobody denied they did the chant.

It was still in fun. They conveniently didn't show the cop yelling into his bullhorn or microphone, "everybody loves bacon!"

Ironic that the "pigs in a blanket" thing happened in Minnesota where the cops recently retaliated and shot a black man in his car after pulling him over for a broken tail light.

ISIS was calling for people in their countries to kill Cops, and military personnel. Yep Muslims sympathetic to the cause have answered the call several times now. Now, apparently they just called to kill infidels. The followers follow!

BLM called for dead cops in New York. Sympathizers killed two cops. At the BLM protest in Dallas, Jeff Hood was whipping the
protesters up with "Fuck tha Police!" and "God Damn White America!". A sympathizer shot 12 cops.

Now you may know what you want when you protest, but you don't know what you will get.
I think now only a fool will fail to see what the sympathizers of the BLM bring as a result of these protests.

Dead Cops.

Watch the whole thing. Find where Rashad Turner, the man who organized it says NOTHING about it being a joke. He does say it was only a small part of the march, which gives it being a real message some credibility.

Then, find the cop yelling what you claim and interview him. If he says it was a joke then you have at least some credibility. The man interviewed by MSNBC, was he there?

Maybe some white boys should march and chant "let's lynch some (n words)

Later, they can say they were joking so no biggie.

Why you want to believe these people are all MLK Jr. and none of them want this to happen is beyond me.

He wasn't there either.

So what?

I say "fry heinous murderers." BLM wants the murderers put on trial, and they want it to be fair trials.

Also, how does the cop having a sense of humor about it mean it was a joke? I've laughed off insults to hide my feelings before, that doesn't mean I wasn't insulted.

Ok, find someone who was there to say it was a joke. I assume the organizer would have been there, are you saying Rashad Turner wasn't at the march he organized?

BLM officials can say they want the cops given medals, that has little to do with the reality of the message these marches are sending.

I've never defended a single cop who has killed someone in cold blood. Hell, I'm pissed off they blew up the suspect with c4.

I already showed you.

Can you find another example other than this right wing instigated manufactured bullshit?

As much of the nation was reeling from yet another act of violence in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, hundreds of people gathered at a barbecue with the Wichita Police Department in Kansas. Earlier in the week, Black Lives Matter protesters had planned to march on Sunday, but after organizers met with Police Chief Gordon Ramsay for hours, according to the protesters, they agreed to break bread together instead.

Probably doesnt help growing up listening to music that painted police as the enemy.
