BDL's 2-on-2 All-Star Tournament: Cavaliers vs. Blazers

ept_sports_nba_experts-874788145-1235501624.jpg

Final Match-up: LeBron James and Zydrunas Ilgauskas vs. Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge.

How the Cavaliers got here: Defeated the Celtics' Pierce and Garnett (with 51% of the vote), the Magic's Lewis and Howard (52%), the Wizards' Butler and Jamison (77%) and the Bulls' Rose and Deng (77%).

How the Blazers got here: Defeated the Spurs' Parker and Duncan (with 69% of the vote), the Lakers' Kobe and Gasol (with 54% of the vote), the Thunder's Durant and Green (66%) and the Hornets' Paul and West (54%). I said it before, and I'll say it again, what an impressive tournament run.

Our hypothetical rules: Half-court, offense calls the fouls, "winners out" to eleven (by ones and twos, natch), and you've got to win by two. Also, no jeans allowed.

And if you're in a creative mood, leave us a short description of how you see this game unfolding. Who jumps out to the early lead? Who nails the game winner? Break it down, Marvelous.

Voting will remain open until late Thursday night, ET.

hahah.. Blazers winning with 51 percent with 7500 votes casted. If only this imitated real life.

Hey this is really cool! We already beat the Lakers in this tourney.

Everyone who votes should leave a quick message here so this thread stays on the first page.

Nice find ABM!

Why are there question marks next to the players' attributes? That doesn't make any sense...

Just to be clear. I voted for Brandon and LA, but there is no way in hell they could beat Lebron and Big Z in a game of 2 on 2

Is everyone still voting? Let us know if you are. Lets keep this thread on the first page.

Really? In a 2 on 2 game, I think any 2 NBA stars would be relatively unguardable. Thus, I consider a lot of these match-ups to be toss-ups. Whoever misses some open shots that they'd generally hit with high, high percentage, will lose.

I vote Blazers due to being a fan of them, but I don't think the Lakers' or Cavs' duo are clear to win. Roy isn't going to stop James, but neither is James going to stop Roy. And Aldridge would be far better than Ilgauskas in the relatively open 2-on-2 game, I think. But Aldridge could also miss open jumpers.

2 on 2 would be a lot more fun to watch than some of the other crap they have on All Star Weekend.

They should've just made something up or create new graphics. It looks stupid.

The special stars in NBA JAM (Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson and a bunch of other random people) had ?? for ratings. I guess their just going off that, and probably didn't want to go to the effort to write in everyone's ratings.

I wish Brandon Roy could play defense. He would be an all-star level player if he was decent at that part of the game.

dudes been to two-all star games already. most of these people have never seen the blazers play.
