I prefer the Optimist. Where is King to put you in your place?

But look at the schedule. They play GS and then us twice. If we win out, Denver just needs one more loss. Losing streaks happen in this league and they blew it last year too.
I'm not sure about that. If they apply the division tiebreaker first then Denver would win the division. In which case both Houston and Denver would be the division winners. I don't think it's possible to be the division winner if we tie Denver.
How? If the division tie is broken before the playoff seeding tie, Denver would win a tie-breaker over Portland, and therefore the division. If king's scenario happens we win the division.
The division tie breaker would apply first and we'd lose that to Denver (basically due to us going 0-4 against OKC).If king's scenario happens we win the division.

No--in his scenario, we're tied with Denver and Houston.Aren't we a full game ahead in his scenario?
Maybe I'm confused.
How would a tie breaker apply if we're a game ahead?
If Denver loses to GS and we beat Memphis, both likely, and then we beat Denver twice (possible), we will be TIED with Denver in the standings with 2 games to play. Wowza. If we beat Denver twice and there is a 3 way tie between Houston, Denver, and us, how does that shake down? Anyone know?
We were discussing the scenario where Houston, Denver, and us were all tied for the 2nd seed. Obviously we win the division if we were a game ahead.Aren't we a full game ahead in his scenario?

Why not? Both games earlier this season were close. And look how we bounced back from getting thumped by Jazz twice. We won 2 straight against them. Almost everyone on the Nuggets have never played in the playoffs before and they completely choked on closing night last season. I’d say we’re favored to win both to tie up series. MUCH more likely than them winning both. The Blazers aren't beating Denver twice.

Three reasons.
Denver is a better team than Portland and Utah.
Denver is healthy and isn't missing CJ and Nurk.
Denver is fighting for the #1 seed.
Denver may well not be better than Portland--they presently have a better record, but that can easily change.Three reasons.

Can't argue this, although I might argue that we haven't really missed CJ all that much.
Denver won't be fighting for the 1 seed for long. After they lose tonight they'll be as close to the 4 as the 1. Portland has just as much seeding to fight for as Denver; even more really, since home court in the first round is still up in the air.
So, item 1 and item 2 are actually the same item.Denver is not missing 2/5th of their starting 5. They are better.
But the Blazers or Nuggets would also be the division winner.
I'm almost certain his 3-way tie breaking scenarios are not 100% correct.
Its slightly possible, but I don't think it's gonna happen either. Too little room for error. But look at the schedule. They play GS and then us twice. If we win out, Denver just needs one more loss. Losing streaks happen in this league and they blew it last year too.
How is Utah better than Portland? We beat them twice and have a better record. And Denver is in danger of falling to 4 seed.Three reasons.

Calm down. I messed up and misread your post.Where the fuck did I say that? sometimes I think you just create arguments to hear yourself talk.
That's incorrect.
Denver is 3 ahead in the loss column with 25 losses and owns the tiebreaker. Losing tomorrow then twice to us gives them 28 losses, tied with us.
Usually ESPN standings update right after games go final but I guess they didn't. My mistake.KS is correct. You need to update your standings after Warriors thumped them.
If Denver loses tomorrow, all we have to do is win our remaining games and we’re the 2 seed. Amazing that we’re in this position.
I want HCA in 2nd round.I dont even want the 2 seed. I'd rather face the Clippers in the 1st round than the Spurs or Thunder.
