i had lasik done about 10 yrs ago. im naturally fidgety and they had to re-apply the pressure (vacuum prior to incision) a few times because i kept moving. My eyes were bloodshot red for like a month because a bunch of blood vessels burst, and i had dry eyes for a good year or so. Also had tons of trouble with seeing stars around headlights while driving at night.

don't recommend lasik unless it's a last resort.

( i went to a LASIK PLUS, in indiana)

Guessing the procedure has improved quite a bit over the last decade!

You can get lasik where they flip open the very top layer of your eye, or they can go straight through with a laser. I don’t know what it’s all called. I had a very thin, and “flat” cornea and they didn’t want to pull it open. So they went through it. Worked. Getting it done was a no brainer.

it hasn't. it was largely my fault cuz i kept moving. but i wouldn't have done it again had i the chance not to.

So technology is constantly improving in every area except lasik surgery? Sucks that it went bad for you, but seems to have 99% of people seeing 20/40 and 90% at 20/20. I was hesitant for many years because of the fear something might go wrong, it was definitely a risk/reward situation. For someone like me that wore contacts from the age of 10 to 39, I'm glad to be done with them!

Im totally blind in one eye and have been for 50 years. Im now starting to get a cataract (waterfall in the greek) and night driving is getting tougher. Probably address sometime in 22.

Ive also got to address the cocktail onion as a left testicle because every time I go by a hamburger joint, my eyes water and i get an erection.
