Deal? Romney wins, I get $200 from ToB. Obama wins, I pay ToB $200 cash wherever he wants me to pay it.

Bad bet Papa. Obama sucks ass, but he's going to win unfortunately. Too many people in this country want the government to take care of them.
 
The perception of the Pacific NW is interesting. It's almost like an echo chamber. I'm reminded of the quote attributed to Pauline Kael, a doyenne of Manhattan society: "How could Nixon have won? I don't know anyone who voted for him!"

Here in Colorado, in 2008, you didn't see any signs for McCain or against Obama. After the election, there were still plenty of Obama and anti-Republican bumper stickers. I started to notice a change in 2010. Now in 2012, even in my overwhelmingly Democratic neighborhood, there are a fraction of Obama signs and more worrying for the Democrats, there are a ton of yards with Romney signs. When you drive around, you're also seeing many more anti-Obama bumper stickers.

It's an imperfect measure, but still the change is telling. We'll see how it pans out in November.

I really haven't been following this election very closely, but I love a good bet and your giving me the incumbent . . . I'll take it.

I love the additional bonus if I win you will pay it wherever I want . . . Mick's house comes to mind. :)

Good luck . . . . funny that I have more interest now that I have a bet on it. I wonder if other voters are feeling as apathetic as I am about this upcoming election.

No, I got no personal beef with papa. I don't like his posting style, but on the flip side he does keep this place active.

I expect $200 in bills, and he can expect the same

You should probably leave Zagger and where he lives out of this but if you two agree to meet at a public place I will meet you both there and buy you each a drink.

ToB got the $200 bet. I'm glad it was him who accepted it, because I know he'll actually pay out his loss to me.

Maybe I will give you 10-1 odds on a $200 bet, since you're jumping on sloppy seconds. I give you $20 if Obama wins; you give me $200 if Romney wins.

If it's a landslide, that's an easy $20 for you.
