I want to keep Woods. I've been impressed with his play. When given quality minutes, he has produced well. I like Nemanja Alexandrov, but that injury he had scares me. Wasn't he injured last year too? I'm going to need to see if the injury has effected him.

Maybe Mo' Taylor and our picks to Boston for LaFrentz and their pick? Just throwing it out there.
 
Shawne Williams from Memphis would be a good pickup for us. He has a lot of potential for someone projected to be in the late first round to early second. He can play the first four positions. It would have been best for him to stay in college for another year or two, but since he’s here and has already signed an agent, picking him at #20 or even #29 if available, won’t be a bad decision. We don’t need him, but he’ll add a solid piece to our young core.

Rumor has it that Josh Boone from Connecticut has gotten a promise from Isiah. I like Boone; he plays to his strengths, has a good work ethic and attitude, and does all the dirty work. His offensive game is extremely limited, but the Knicks don’t need offense, they need defense. Boone will give us a solid role playing big man to go alongside Curry and make up for some of his deficiencies. We’ll probably be able to get him at #20.

Another guy I’m looking at is Saer Sene from Senegal. He just turned 20 and is a pretty good prospect. He has a lot of potential, but will be a project for us, especially since he just began playing basketball three years ago. I don’t think Larry wants that (if he’s still around). He reminds me a lot of Johan Petro from the Sonics.

The Knicks may be looking at him more for their 29th pick if Boone is gone. The Knicks believe small forward is their biggest need and it's why they are hoping Williams drops to 20, which is no certainty. They don't need another guard, but that's where this draft is deepest.

Thomas knows he needs more defenders on the roster, so Collins could be an intriguing pick. Collins, Brown, Ager all worked out for the Knicks. Today, guard Mike Gansey (West Virginia), 6-10 forward Damir Markota (Sarajevo) and guard Donnie McGrath (Providence) will also work out.</div>

Boone? Doesnt NY have enough big bodies. You guys need a TRUE PG. A guy who can Unselfishly get your scorers the ball . Make jamal 6th man. Put Star at 2. Q at 3 (lol hes listed as 6'6). Frye at the 4 and CUrry At the 5. Trade your number 29 pick to chicago for duhon. Then you have a guy to set up curry. Star can focus on scoring. Q and Duhon are great 3 point shooters. And Ariza for the hustle and D. Bam sixth spot in the east in 07

Chad Ford has us picking Shanwe Williams at #20 and Boone at #29. Not a bad draft at all.

Oh God I certainly hope that's not true! I'm sure the Knicks can do better than that! Rudy Fernandez has pulled out of the draft and Souza didnt do well at all at the Treviso Eurocamp. So as far as I'm concerned they are no longer the best options that we have. With Denver's pick there are three players the Knicks should be taking a really hard look at:

Alexander Johnson: He's just the type of big man we need. He plays tough defense, rebounds very well and just generally does all the dirty work. He'll be the perfect compliment to Eddy Curry.

Thabo Selofasha: Defensive minded SG/SF. He'll also just do the dirty work like play great defense, rebound, run the floor. He'll knock down the open shots and always make the right play.

Jordan Farmar: Pure pass first point guard. Need I say more?

With San Antonio's pick the Knicks should be looking to pick up either Oleksiy Pecherov(dont know why he just caught my eye), Steve Novak(pure shooter to stretch the defense), Souza(potential is still potential), Bobby Jones(possible lockdown defender Knicks need), Joel Freeland(looks interesting) and Yotam Halperin(big point guard with very intriguing skills). These are the players I think Isiah should be considering. But knowing him he's probably going to draft Diaz, another shooting guard in a point guard's body, with Denver's pick and Josh Boone with San Antonio's pick.


Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired.
 
In Chad Ford's 4th mock, he has us taking Olexsiy Pecherov and Guillermo Diaz.

Their both quality players who fit the Knicks needs, will contribute right away and do have some upside. I will be extremely disappointed if Isiah passes either of them up.

I want to select Yotam Halperin with San Antonio's pick. I did some research and he is starting to grow on me. Pass first point guard with excellent size and tons of skills dont grow on trees everyday. He could be the steal of the draft in my opinion.

I have nothing else to say except that Isiah Thomas is a complete jackass and I cant wait until he gets fired but I think that goes without saying.

Just kidding, but seriously, if we want a pass-first guard, why not draft someone like Jordan Farmar, Rajon Rondo, or Mardy Collins? Isn't Yotam Halperin supposed to be a second rounder?

I dont think Farmar or Rondo will be available when San Antonio's pick comes around. Yotam Halperin is a late first round to early second round prospect so it's not like taking him at 29 is a reach. I wouldnt mind Mardy Collins either since he's supposed to be a good defender but I'd prefer Halperin.


Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired.

Btw, I hear we're eagerly trying to trade up because we'll have 14 guaranteed contracts and will have to let go either Woods or Butler

They gotta take Marcus Williams if he's there as the BPA.
 
I am 100% sure Isiah is going to make me very unhappy in 4 minutes.
 
Wow. I dont believe it. Marcus Williams is available at the 20th pick!!! He was the best point guard in the draft. I am going to scream if Isiah doesnt pick up Williams.

Would that be right though? You guys would be packed at guard.. and you probably won't be able to trade Francis or Marbury?
