2011-12 NBA ALL-STAR GAME THREAD...........

I was 7 have a really hard time remebering specifics lol. Mostly remember my dad/bro upset about it.

I remember being pissed, but looking back it probably had to do with his reoccurring knee issue that year (which was known among fans since he missed a fair amount of games that year, and played like crap). But I don't remember them stating that was the reason.

I remember when I went to see the Olympics team play at the MC during the Americas that Clyde didn't play because of knee issues. Bird didn't play either. Those were the two players I wanted to see the most.

Maybe LaMarcus was traded and the other team wants him to not risk getting hurt!

You heard it here first folks, the Blazers are trading LaMarcus for Jeremy Lin!

fuck it, I changed the channel. All it is, is Kevin Durant vs. LeBron James 1 on 1.

All-Star Games in general, regardless of sport, are worthless, pointless, and is a naked cash grab. It has nothing to do with the fans and everything to do with money.

I can't tell if he just doesn't give a crap now, or if he's bored. But he looks like he's in Rasheed Wallace pre-season mode here.

probably pissed for lack of PT.

watching "vegas strip" on Channel 246 instead. Fuck them.

well, LaMarcus is out. so I'm done watching.

Go east!

LA/Bynum/Nash on the west have all played under 10m while Hibbert/Deng have played under 10 on the east.

Bynum makes sense. he's injured.
Nash makes sense, he's old and has nothing to prove (in relation to being an all star).

I hope there's a valid reason why LaMarcus got the fewest minutes of anyone else.

The nice thing about having Jay Jensen be the trainer for the west is that he'll probably have Bynum get double microfracture surgery tomorrow.

In his first All-Star game ever.

I would rather he give Durant double MF surgery tomorrow.

Because brooks hates him?

I bet Aldridge isn't so motivated to make it next year. Not saying he won't play like an allstar but this probably wasn't his expectation

blazersedge
Blazers F LaMarcus Aldridge says he "definitely" expected to play more minutes."

fu brooks

Does Brooks get a share of the prize money too?

Well what we know is Aldridge will make damn sure he plays his "A" game against the OKC. I can't wait to watch the game. I expect Aldridge to really sock it to em. We got dissed by the shit call last game. Double motivation baby!

I didn't see the All Star game. LaMarcus earned his appearance and got his reward. He's an all star, he played in the game, he got some rest and didn't get hurt. It sounds like a good day.

I didn't watch it either as the Oregon/Oregon State game was much more interesting. I did find it odd looking at the box score afterwards that Durant got 37 and Kobe got 35 minutes. But then I realized that there was only one SG and One SF on the west team. (6 centers/PF's and 4 PG's) That was a little unbalanced.

I went to the OSU/UO game. Took my daughter. Good game.

This is exactly why I don't watch the All-Star games. Ever since that Drexler screw-job in 1992 (should have been the MVP, but sympathy vote to Magic) and Westphal in 1993.
