Pac-12 Schedule Set
Friday, Nov. 5, 12:00 p.m. PT

The Pac-12 schedule for 2011, and an eight-year rotation model for future schedules, was announced by conference officials on Friday.

The Ducks, which open the season with a neutral site affair against LSU at Cowboys Stadium, start conference play at Pac-12 South member Arizona on Sept. 24. UO's first intra-division game is set for Thursday, Oct. 6, against Cal at Autzen Stadium.

As determined earlier this year, the Pac-12 North will be Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington and Washington State. The South division is to consist of Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, USC, UCLA and Utah.

In addition to the Wildcats, Oregon's non-divisional Pac-12 foes next season include Arizona State (H), USC (H) and Colorado (A). In 2012, those opponents remain the same with the games played at the opposite site from the previous season.

In 2012 and '13, Oregon will play Arizona, UCLA, Colorado and Utah outside of the division.

Next season's home games include Nevada (Sept. 10), Cal (Oct. 6), Arizona State (Oct. 15), Washington State (Oct. 29), USC (Nov. 19) and Oregon State (Nov. 26). Road games will be at Arizona (Sept. 24), Colorado (Oct. 22), Washington (Nov. 5) and Stanford (Nov. 12). The road game vs. UW will be the final game at Husky Stadium prior to its planned renovation.

The Ducks have one hole to fill on their 2011 schedule with a non-conference opponent still needed for Sept. 17.

The inaugural Pac-12 Championship Game will take place Dec. 3, 2011.

San Diego State for the open date anyone? We can go down there for an easy win and recruiting trip.

actually I was thinking the same thing. It still gets us to SO-CAL for the recruits now. Then I think we are in So-Cal for UCLA in 2012. I have heard that San Diego comment from before. Although they probably wouldnt be down for it over and over.

or wait.. are we gonna start having one less conference game, and an extra OOC game as well? I cant seem to remember that part.

California and Arizona State playing each other after they play their local rivals? That seems a bit weird to me. Playing non-conference games is one thing, but the in-conference schedule always finishes with the local rival.

I think I might go to Dallas for the Cowboys Classic. I had a great time there for the game against TCU. The next weekend I'll go to Madison, WI to see the Beavs. Sounds like an excellent way to start off the season!

how reasonable were ticket prices when OSU played there?

For this year at least they're keeping 9 conference games. Don't know if in the future they're gonna go down to 8. We'd be the only conference besides the new Big-12 that will have 9 if we do.

You could get $75 tickets for $60 through a deal I had at work. I splurged though and went for $150 seats. 5th row on the 30 yard line. The biggest expense is the flight and next would be the room. I figured why not spend a few bucks on the actual game.

That game would already be announced if we were playing them. Its probably going to be another 1-AA school like Eastern Washington or Portland St.

Yeah, we can always pencil in a free "w" with a game against PSU.
