I like Lillard but have to disagree with the "elite athleticism" part, yes he can jump hign but his agiity scores and sprint were pedestrian results for a PG, and IMO quickness is more important than jumping high for a pG especially. Again I like him but he does not posess "elite athleticism"

Hey MM, U never replied to this post, how bout it?

I was at football practice, so I hope this hasn't been talked about already

Ben Golliver ‏@blazersedge
The No. 6 pick regularly means a great name. Last 5: Jan, Ekpe, Jonny, Danilo, Yi. Others: Martell, Dajuan, DerMarr, Wally, Sharone, Calbert

Given this scientific info, Portland will be either drafting or trading the rights to one of Festus, Fab, Arnett or Moe

Sorry, I missed it.

I'm not sure scores are something you can base your opinion on?

Lillard's agility was 11.15
Chris Paul was 11.10
Bayless' was 11.26
Conley's was 11.63
Rose was 11.69
Jimmer was 10.42 for Christ's sakes

Better lane agility than Rose, .08 worse than Curry and .17 worse than Westbrook.

This means nothing and proves very little...

As @chadfordinsider just tweeted, I'd been told earlier this evening that Washington SG Terrence Ross has a private workout in Cleveland tomorrow. Cavs - who have fourth and 24th pick - considering moving both up and down. Ross won't be there at 24

Ross could go at 4 obviously, but Cavs know they could do a deal to move back and find more assets.

Plot thickens on potential Blazers/Cavs trade

Only if you're a hater

Proves he's in the same class athletically as those players. If he wasn't the Lillard haters would hold it against him.

Keep looking.

I'll laugh when we move up and get one of the big Top-4 guys, after we've spent time bashing the guys we expect to get at 6.

Does Cleveland adding a player like Caspri or picks 33 and 34 even out 6 and 11 for 4 and 24?

Hell if we get another 2nd, 2 seconds and money or something else should net us a move back into the first.

I am not interested in arguing over Lillard anymore, other than to say that you can find MANY other players who have similar to better measureables who..

a) are no longer in the league
b) are riding the pine on some NBA bench
c) are nowhere near the same caliber of basketball player as those guys

How can that possibly be?

Maybe there is more to being a great NBA player than how you measure out?

No need to keep looking, the answer is right here...

Your welcome....

It's a good thing Lillard can play, isn't it?

Wowed at the combine. Wowed in various different workouts. Hardly any negatives have been said about the guy. There's pretty much a consensus that Lillard has been impressive.

I was responding to Blazinaway saying Lillard's agility numbers were concerning. Proves nothing is exactly my point. No one is saying he is only good because he measured out as well as D-Rose athletically. That's just one piece to the puzzle.

Can play in college....How he plays in the NBA is yet to be determined.....

Understood....and I agree, it proves nothing one way or another...

If he didn't measure out well people here would hold it against him.

The point is it eliminates any kind of worry about him when it comes to his athleticism. It won't hold him back.

No one has said because he measured out like Rose and Westbrook he'll be just as good as them.

I'd probably do 6/11 for 4/24/33/34. You can get some good players in the early 2nd, but it's generally where the good Euros go for contract purposes.

Santoransky's the only one that seems to have an NBA shot, unless Fournier somehow drops. He's intriguing.

I'd also explore something like 4+24+Varejao for 6+11+Williams and Matthews.

Precisely!
