According to a source the Cavs are offering Anderson Varejao to lottery picks. Warriors unlikely to do it right now. Rockets are possible.

If the price to move up to the 2nd pick is James Harden, I think we can safely say that the 2nd pick is too rich for our blood.

Apparently the Thunder are unwilling to give up Harden for the #2 pick.

How the fuck do you expect to get that high of a pick -- Perkins and Thabo? GTFO!

how do U really feel? lol

Yeah I know, rather strong, but I really do not like him at all....Lillard I could live with, I don't really like him over other prospects but he has confidence and is skilled offensively....

The confidence\emotion thing is a major major red flag IMO....there is just no room for self doubt in the NBA...and the NBA is rough on young big guys, and he is raw skill wise which will make it even tougher...add his confidence problems, his over emotional outbursts onto that and you have a recipe for disaster.....

On one of the NBA predraft shows last night a guy brought him up as a bust..(Seth Davis?)....Said he was a combine\workout warrior looks great measurement\athletic wise but does not play to that in games...

I can only imagine the conversation an owner will have with their GM in two-three years if Dion Waiters ends up being a bust...

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress
"So you took a 6-3 SG 6th man who everyone had in the 20s in May in the top-10 despite no workout, physical or interview? You did that why?"

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress
"But, a front office with a history of bad decisions promised him at the end of the lottery! I figured they HAVE to know something we don't"

This is why Presti annoys me. Things have come so easily to him that he expects people to just hand him shit.

Be interesting to know the Blazers "psych gal" evaluation of him

Awesome! Talk about putting your chips all in

Lillard has been our smokescreen for a good while now.

Yeah I am really wondering what is going on there, on one hand I don't think it is a smokescreen...but on the other, Olshey talks about not saying anything about how the workouts went...he says it repeatedly and then on the Blazers official website they practically gush about the kid, I mean it seemed over the top and then Jaynes reporting that 2? blazer officials said it was a great workout\best since Durant etc, which then is spread to the interview session the night before the draft etc...

Maybe Jaynes got his info from Mike Rice and such, maybe POR really does like Lillard and is peeved that this got out and now other teams are looking hard at Lillard....but irregardless of all that, I do find it interesting how over the top the Blazers own website went in regards to Lillard....

Pretty elaborate smokescreen to me, seems unlikely, but if so kudos to Olshey b\c it seems to have worked...

If he was some kind of long-armed athletic freak with a superb attitude and intangibles, I could maybe understand. But of course he's not...

I love how Givony is just trashing Waiters.

Yeah but what is Givony going to say if Waiters ends up being an All Star caliber player? Nothing...

He isn't a scout, remember that, not so much different than anyone in here....

@DraftExpress "To be fair, his agent made him sound really good, and you know how I cave in to peer pressure."

Jonathon Givony is as close as you're going to get to being a scout without the actual title, this guy is on all year round.

This is sorta like saying Storyteller doesn't know any more than anyone in here about the salary cap because he is not employed by an NBA team, don't you think?
