Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Euro fanboy can be nauseating.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

UNC/Duke on ESPN in about 5 minutes. Should be a doozy.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Prospects galore in this one. Who knows, maybe Miles Plumlee with a 2nd rounder?

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Kendall Marshall is like 10 assists away from breaking the ACC record for assists in a season.

nbadraft.net has him in the middle of first round. (ahhhh n/m), i see you said Miles.

This is just dominance.

Its going to be interesting how it shakes out come draft time. There's a lot of guys that aren't on the draft boards that I think will be there and the tourney always is a great stage for guys to soar their draft stock.

Tu Holloway and Doug McDermott are two guys I think could start appearing on draft boards that haven't.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Rivers has no real weakness on offense. He can do everything.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

He's smooth. Kind of forces the issue sometimes, though.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Another thing about Rivers, is that he needs to gain some strength yet. I'm not sure he'll be able to absorb contact and finish at the next level. Veterans pull out all the old tricks.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Kendall Marshall seems like Mark Jackson II.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

He's usually only a passer, but is showing a great balance of passing and scoring tonight.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Kendall Marshall has been probably the most impressive player I've watched today. Great performance tonight by a 19 year old in one of the most difficult environments for a road player.

19pts, 10asts, 4rebs.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

we might actually be in jeremy lamb terrirtory...wowsa

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Meh. If we're in rebuild mode I think next year is the year to target a SG.

The Shabazz Muhammad draft!

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Ray McCallum might climb up draft boards soon. But, where were going to be picking we can get a legit player.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

My order outside the top 3 guys:

1. Thomas Robinson
2. Austin Rivers
3. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
4. Bradley Beal
5. Jeremy Lamb
6. Damian Lillard (He's been moving up to almost top 10)

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Yuck. Only player I think will succeed in the NBA from NC this year is Marshall. I think Lamb is so much better than Barnes.

No, I used to feel the same way about Barnes. I think he's a tad overrated. But, after watching him a ton this year, I see why he's thought of so highly. The game just comes to him naturally and he has all the tools. Whether he has the desire to be great is whats going to be the difference of whether he's Rudy Gay, or Tracy McGrady.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Interesting note about Lillard: I asked a GM if Damian Lillard will go lottery. "He should but no one will have the balls to take a guy who played at Weber State that high"

It has to be a concern. Look at Babbitt. He dominated smaller, weaker players in a crappy league. It's becomes so difficult to evaluate a player who plays in a small weak conference with incredibly weak players. Sure, they can dominate there, but the jump to the NBA is much more than from a player in a major conference.

Babbitt is slow, which is why he struggles at this level
