Haven't we learned to stay away from big men in the draft. I don't give a shit how we acquire one, just don't do it thru the draft!

Could say the same about PGs.

2011- Nolan
2010- Armon
2009- Patty
2008- Bayless
2007- Koponen
2006- Sergio
2005- Jack
2004- Telfair

You'd think we'd stop trying after a while.

I consider a PF different then a center. I'm all for Robinson.

I actually liked the games of Jack, Sergio, Bayless and Patty. Better then anything we have now.

Yeah Drummond is gowing on me. Now that it sounds like he is a possibilty I have been reading a little more about him. I like this analysis:

"For a big man, Drummond is just about as mobile as they come. Two footed jumper with impressive leaping ability. Definitely explosive relative to NBA competition in terms of vertical ability, he gets off the ground fairly quickly, is just as impressive off of one leg and can play ‘above the rim.’ Has legitimate end-to-end speed to be a factor out in transition."

I still don't think he will drop to us but I would not mind it. (Other than the whole jinx thing)

I'm with U, I think if we trade up like the Cle deal that was mentioned I think we are going after Drummond, U don't do that for beal or any of these other guys, even TRob IMO

I don't want to wait 3 more years for a big man to develop!!!! Move LA's ass to center and let's roll!

It possible "too bad? may apply here, but there is a lot of Pire BS flyin from now to the draft, so relax amigo

lol...

Lillard and Leonard would be an epic fail of a draft by POR IMO....

wow...that is horrible....

I have no idea if this is true, but was just told by an online friend that the blazers are looking to acquire the 4th, but not trade up. Blazers want 4 and 6 and are tring to package later picks and Wes. Don't put stock in this, just passing it along.

Don't do this to these nerds! They will flip out if you are joking. You have to tell us why your "source" has credibility.

No credibility that matters. But has not claimed stuff like this before.

Why would you believe him? I'm not doubting you, just curious. Just wondering if he is a real insider or somebody just messing with you.

Just like MM's "source"........ I honestly don't think he has one, I think he just loves messing with the guys.

As expected #Blazers and GM Neil Olshey will resume predraft workouts Wed. However, the list of visitors will not be made public

The prospects at all #Blazers predraft workouts will be kept secret until moments before the media is allowed to enter, a new Olshey rule.

Although he would not reveal who will visit for workouts, Olshey said he expects all of the #Blazers lottery targets to do so before draft.

everyone love's messin with U amigo, and even moreso with da wife

Oden's offense was far from polished when we drafted him. Don't sleep on Drummond because his post moves are raw.

Oden was waaaaaaaay more advanced, and I'm not just referring to his "Old LeBron" age/appearance. Hell, Oden's left handed FT% was what, triple Drummond's regular shooting percent? I'm all for picking Drummond, but don't kid yourself, he's quite likely the rawest offensive high lottery prospect ever.

Ok, here is everything. I used to play online poker on poker stars when it was still available and became friends with with a fellow player who also posted on a poker forum called 2+2. He is just a friend from online who is a cavs fan. He heard this from other people in Cleavland who he is watching the game with. I don't know more than this. I trust my friend, we have sent each other hundreds of dollars on poker stars many times and he always paid back quickly. I personally trust him, but have no idea if what he heard is true. I can't contact him now, but after the game ill try and find out who exactly he heard this from

if they want to keep the #6 no way Wes and the #11 is enough, perhaps sign and trade Nic but that's hard to do, gonna be a hard to do that IMO without letting the 6 go

^He has to join S2 and keep us updated!!!!!!

That's interesting but the #11 and whatever else wont get it done IMO.

Passing on Barnes, their franchise players' best friend, wouldn't be in their best interest.

Having two high picks would be fun. It'll feel like the 2006 draft, a draft that turned this franchise around.

Hmm...maybe Olshey and Co. think that a strategy similar to the one we used in 2006 with drafting Roy and LA is the way to go. I agree with an above poster that I would be very surprised if it did not take Batum to move up to 4, but if Wes/Elliot/11 can get it done I'm all for it.

Batum S&T would be the only chance to get that pick.

But I don't think you can S&T him on draft night.

Ok, I just sent an email and will let you know as soon as he responds. Likely after the game.

I'd do Wes + 11 for Iggy + 15.

Then possibly move up to 4 using 15 and all our Euro stashes + cash + 2nd rounders?

Respectfully disagree. Oden's offense (outside the dunk) was pretty terrible. He had questionable foot work and almost no touch on the ball. Drummond has an equally bad shot, but not much worse the Oden. I think they are quite similar.

Oden's post game was very weak. For a player his size his shot was blocked A LOT. I think you can blame that on just how predictable he was on the block -- bump, bump, baby hook left, or baby hook right. That was his post game.

This is a good read.

Interim coach Kaleb Canales will run the workouts and the Blazers’ management team will be heavily involved. But Olshey will coordinate everything, including planning what drills and sets the prospects go through during a workout.

“For the most part, I’m looking to see if guys can compete,” Olshey said. “This is a job interview for a multi-million dollar job. I want to see who wants it, who is willing to lay it on the line and compete for a job.”

Olshey and the Blazers will take most of their prime targets out to dinner or lunch to get to know them off the court. As he shares a casual meal and, later, puts the prospect through a rigorous workout, Olshey will be looking for the perfect combination of character and killer instinct.

“Chris Paul is one of the nicest people you will ever meet in your life,” Olshey said of the Clippers’ All-Star point guard. “But he’s an assassin. Nobody is a better family man. Nobody is a better person. He knows everyone and treats everyone the same, from coaches all the way to the ball boy. But I’d be terrified to play him because he’ll rip your throat out to win a basketball game.”

Oh shit, I feel like a retard. Just got a response
