Has Kyle Lowry been traded? He sent out this cryptic tweet... RT @Klow7 It's been real

Bill Ingram ‏@TheRocketGuy:
@AlexKennedyNBA @Klow7 I was told by a well-placed Houston source that he was "likely" to be traded on or before draft day

Lowry to Toronto for 8, and then 8 and 14 or 16 for 5 to Sacramento? They take Drummond 5, and eliminates possibility of tor. nabbing lillard at 8.

But that could mean Sac takes him at 8. He was in for a workout there and they seemed to like him.

Would you guys trade #6 for Lowry? Might solve our PG problem.

...
one rival general manager told ESPN.com that he believes Houston's real aim is acquiring two top-10 picks this week to turn around quickly and offer both to the Orlando Magic as part of a considerable trade offer for Dwight Howard.

No way.

Outside a few flashes he's barely a step up from what Felton has done in his career.

Publicly calling out his coach like Lowry did a few months ago is a red flag. At 26, you'd think he would be a bit more of a leader and keep that stuff out of the media.

I would not do it, but I think it would be a fair deal. Lowry looked really good when I watched him play in person the last two times. I would rather roll the dice on Lillard though

Lowry had a 19 PER last year. The highest PER Felton ever had for a full season was 16.6 which included 60 games in New York. Felton generally has been a 13-14 PER player.

Lowry had a 16.5 two years ago and before that he was mostly 14 with a 18 in his rookie year.

If I felt he could re-do last year where it seems like he was breaking out, I'd do #11 for Lowry. He is on an extremely reasonable deal and you could probably give them shawne williams too so it doesn't hurt our cap space that much.

If we had to give up #6, I'm not so sure I'd want to do it. Maybe if they gave us pick #14 back too and Drummond was the guy at #6 for us since I'm not so sure on him.

Exactly. Lowry & 14 for 6, then take PJ3 at 11 and Harkless at 14. Move Aldridge to center (but just don't call him one).

Lowry/Smith
Matthews/Williams
Batum/Harkless
Hickson/Jones
Aldridge/Freeland

Good starters, young bench with potential. And still enough cap space to try to add more talent before re-signing Batum/Hickson.

I like this.

I'd be ok with that. I think I would rather take Rivers or Waiters at 11 though, then one of the Joneses or Sullinger (if he continues to fall) at 14

I like Harkless but PJlll? The guy has been bombing his workouts and he wants nothing to do with the PF position. He's a SF who can't shoot.

PS.

I still wouldn't do that deal.

Why trade the 6th pick for a PG that was just beat out of a spot?

Talk about aiming low.

IF Salmons was the price to pay, in part, for getting the #5 (and preferably keeping the #6) then I would do it w\o hesitation....I would even consider it just to flip flop the #5 & #6...but they are taking some contracts (S.Williams, Babbit, N.Smith) back in the deal....

This is a FIVE player draft....after Davis...Robinson, Beal, MKG or Barnes...POR should be doing whatever they can to get in position to land one of those 4 guys....

then at #6 (or #11) take whomever they like...

This.

We help Houston keep the better PG and give them a high draft pick in a deep draft?

Of course, this is all hypothetical bs.

Has anyone else noticed that Chris Haynes has been M.I.A. since he killed it at the Chicago combine?

I don't mind grabbing Lowry for the 16th as long as they take back Shawn Williams contract and give us the 16th. Really liking Harkless now so draft him with Houston's pick. Have Crawford opt into his contract, trade it for the 18th draft Marshall.
Then we move our 11th/whatever they want thats not the 16th for the 5th taking back Salmons stupid contract and Grab whoever fell be it Harrison Barnes or not.
Lowry is a pretty good guard but his contract is awesome. 2 years left at a little over 12m. Easy to move if we don't like him.

Yea was wondering that myself too. I guess he could be on vacation but its a little weird to take vacation so close to the draft.

He doesn't want to join the speculation/gossip club and talk about stuff he doesn't know about?

Isn't that in his job description much like Canzano and Quick? "Make shit up and hope it has some remnant of truth in it after all is said and done?" He has been more on the ball then either of those two ever were but still.

Drummond

So drafting someone like Drummond would be a good fit for a coach like Kaleb, IMHO

The more I read and hear about Drummond, the more I kinda hope we draft him. Could blow up, either on the floor or in our faces.

unnecessary and unwanted commentary

I think if we draft Drummond at #6, I would then like to draft Harkless at #11. Then trade Aldridge to GS for Thompson, #7 and #30 and draft Lillard at #7 and Royce White with a pick in the 20's we get for moving #30 and our two second rounders. Then retain Kaleb and let him teach these guys

This team sucks ass for a couple of years while adding players like Muhammad next year.

Lillard/Smith
Muhammad/Thompson/Williams
Batum/Harkless/Babbitt
Hickson/White/Claver
Drummond/Freeland

Is that a team we could get behind? Is that a team that could do something someday?
