Can anybody else live with us being shitty next year after looking at how good the top of the 13' draft already is.

I'm salivating over McAdoo. Guy is a hybrid 4 that can play with the rock in his hands.

Cody Zeller has McHale like footwork.

Noel is supposed to be every bit the defender Anthony Davis' is.

Shabazz Muhammed has superstar potential.

I have been on record a 1000 times at least hoping we are shitty enough to land a big prize next year

Sign me up. I can live with one season of developing young talent and taking some losses.

I agree and we will need one of those guys from next years draft. I don't think we can turn it around that fast unless we get very lucky with this draft and FA's. I just want to get a player that is going to be able to create his own shot and setup other players.

Why couldn't this Zeller be in the draft?

Watch him take it to Anthony Davis a couple times in that video :)

Yeah, I really like this Zeller. He is twice the player his brother is and I would love to get him.

Cody Zeller looks like a ballerina playing among sumo wrestlers. You can't teach soft hands and post moves like that. To have them better than 99% of the NBA at age 19.....GTFO!

I watched the regular season game when Indiana came back and upset Kentucky. Zeller was a one-man wrecking crew. They just fed him all 2nd half. Anthony Davis was guarding him.

Oh, I'm totally fine with sucking balls next year enough to get a great player. This team's problems go deeper than what can get fixed with a single draft with all of the options outside of the top 2 tiers of players and an anemic free agent class.

Zeller FTW

Scouts say this draft, and possibly the 2014 draft, are going to be very weak but top-heavy.

If we're wanting to tank for next year and beyond, the move is to trade Aldridge.

I'm also fine with that and have said as much in the last couple of months. I guess it all depends on what kind of trades Olshey is able to engineer.

Hopefully a better trade than ZBO for Channing Frye.

After tonight, POR just assured themselves of a lottery pick next year.....

You may not like their picks, but even if they took who you wanted, they still would be in the lottery next year. Everyone in the draft is a "year away". Lots of young talent with potential.

Sign me up. As long as we are struggling because we are trying to develop the rookies - I have no problem with that.

If we suck AND give all the minutes to this year's version of Felton and Crawford....then I will be upset!

It doesn't matter...whatever pick POR has ...I am convinced that current mgmt will find a way to totally screw it up.....

Cody Zeller for PFOTF.

His footwork and feel for the game are off the charts.

Just as long as he doesn't have any medical red-flags, of course.

Check this out. If you go to internet archive databases, you can look at the mocks that some of these draft websites were making at this point last year. Here's the mock from Draft Express at this time, last year -

http://web.archive.org/web/20110430031558/http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2012/

Not making a point about any particular prospect in 2013, but I thought it'd be interesting to offer up as an example of how much things can change over a year's time.

EDIT: Not really sure why the link isn't working, but if you go to http://web.archive.org and type in draftexpress.com or nbadraft.net, you can view their mock archives. Draft Express's mock right after last year's draft had a top five of 1) Anthony Davis 2) Harrison Barnes 3) Jared Sullinger 4) Perry Jones 5) Quincy Miller. It was actually a really great mock, considering it was an entire year ahead of time, but I just wanted to offer it up for conversation about how players' games can develop differently than we'd expect.
