Ducks offer California Safety Marvell Tell... love to see Marvell & Mattrell team as Safeties. Tell goes to the same HS as Hroniss did.

Fresno CA DT Jacob Daniel recommits to Sark this time at USC

When USC goes 7-6, he will flip. That's what I'm betting on.

So, where do we go DT wise from there?

New offers
DT Terry Beckner Jr.
WR Kirk Merritt
OL Connor Williams
WR A.D. Miller

We have told Quinn Oseland we are full at the type of line position we see him as. Guard I would guess. So the OL we are offering we probably consider as primarilly Tackles and maybe a center.

We aren't getting Beckner, and I have no doubt in my mind Daniel will whisper into Green's ear of playing together. Plus John Houston too because they are heavy USC leans.

I like our chances with Connor Williams or Lynott at Center. And we are SOOO not getting Merrit out of TAMU or LSU.

A.D. Miller has size but he's skinny. Like him though.

Ugh, we may not get the blue-chip DTs...AGAIN

lots of people will be in Rasheem's ear...it would figure that one of them would be his friend Zach Okun. My understanding is that UCLA leads as his parents are Bruins. With 6 Juniors and a Sophomore in place for the big boy spots in their 3-4, Oregon's depth chart doesn't scream early PT. They should to land a couple DT types in this cycle, but since there isn't an immediate need a Redshirt year is probable. I expect that they'll stand a much better chance of enticing a top rated DT in the next cycle.

We have 6 juniors and a sophomore for our 3-4? Or UCLA's? You lose me there.

Don't forget he's a Gardena product and his HC is a former UCLA player. Gardena is 7 miles south of USC too, hence how Marqise Lee went there(along with the chance to play alongside Woods and Barkley).

I'd rather get a great DT prospect sooner than later. Our championship window is closing after all.

And Kirkland Jr. isn't leaving Big10 country. Penn State is the best school I think he's going too

Damion Hobbs will transfer.

Yep. Better that friggin QB. I don't care even if we offer Tommy Stevens at this point.

Armstead, Buckner, Balducci, Kamp, Bair, Talia = 6 Juniors who play in DL in their 3-4. TJ Daniel is the Sophomore. Assuming they all come back next year, any incoming Freshman will probably have a hard time carving out early PT. Incoming freshman will also have the 4 DLineman in from the 2014 class to contend with. My guess is the most of the kids they land in the DLine class of 2015 will take a Redshirt year.

Seems you're convinced every kid from afar that Oregon recruits will opt to stay home. Thats obviously not been the case and Oregon's pull seems to be getting stronger not weaker... why are you so convinced things will change?

Because Urban Meyer is in Ohio, SEC teams are leaching into B10 turf thanks to Les Miles and Mizzou, and Penn State is the hot team on the east coast. And don't tell me about the Florida schools.

despite landing kids from all over the country in their classes against your predictions, you continue to shoot down seemingly every offer they make to a kid off the West Coast... it's just odd.

Again, the Ducks don't even begin their recruiting process unless the kid has reached out to them first. So by the time we learn a Duck offer has gone out, the kid has gone out of their way to express interest and Oregon coaches have done a ton of research digging into their academic background & having face to face conversations with the PSA, their parents, teachers & coaches. UO extends far fewer offers then most other schools who use them like lures trying to generate interest after seeing a highlight tape. Oregon only offers kids they feel have the talent, sincere interest & their desired high character. Especially with the recruiting sanctions limiting coach's contact and OVs in the fall, it doesn't make sense that they're taking wild shots at kids they've little chance of landing.

Not the blue chip prospects all over the country aside from RBs. Juwann Williams, Tony James, Charles Nelson in other schools eyes, is sloppy seconds due to their size and that they would focus on the much better prospects, ala Tony Brown or Ermon Lane.

The last blue chip prospect to come to ORegon east of Texas was Pharaoh Brown, and that's it.

But I suppose you have a point. Still, this style of recruiting is frustrating to say the least. If we strike out on Murray, will we offer Tommy Stevens?

So let me get this straight...a prospect who the Ducks offered early on in the process who is also offered by half the SEC including Bama, & whose other notable offers include TAMU, Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, Michigan, & the National Champions of D1, who plays in one of the All American games... they're leftover sloppy seconds in your eyes? Really?

everyone is entitled to an opinion. Yours seems unhinged from the rest of the world's, but you're welcome to it. Tony James is one of the highest rated RBs Oregon has ever landed. Higher then LaMichael, Kenyon, and a slew of prior Ducks who you've never heard of because you just started following UO by your own admission what, 2 seasons ago?

But I suppose you have a point. Still, this style of recruiting is frustrating to say the least. If we strike out on Murray, will we offer Tommy Stevens?

if you're finding following Oregon's recruiting during it's highest rated stretch ever too frustrating, I don't know what to tell you other then maybe this isn't a good way for you to pass the time. As far as QB, not only is Murray still out there but Deondre Francois is planning a visit on his own dime this summer. Waller is still a decent possibility too as UO coaches are visiting him this week.

Are you kidding me. We just held Murray aka Manziel 2.0 in for a visit, then offered Kai and he's coming, now we offer a NO-NAME in Tampa?

Enlighten me STOMP. Helf. Anyone.

Seriously.

rivals has upgraded the no-name QB from Tampa from 3* to 4* & their #170 overall prospect

...also of note, Cal QB Travis Waller is bumped up to #104

Nice to see Cowart as Rivals #1

Still, I am nervous of Francois because he looks like a FSU or Florida lean. FSU is losing Jameis and Florida will need more QBs for competition.

I am nervous of Francois because he looks like a FSU or Florida lean.

Why? Whats your source that he's leaning that way? The guessers at 247?

What I know is that he's paying his own way for a cross country flight to visit Eugene this summer. Thats a pretty big expense if you're leaning in another direction don't you think? To me that sort of action indicates that a player is seriously considering their options

STOMP

Yeah, I don't have the Rivals sub you do. I just visit 247 for my info and with bleacher report.

That's good news indeed!

Also, more crystal ball changes to Murray. TAMU is panicing like crazy and why? They got the #1 QB in the last cycle. Greedy Texans

Because Kyler is going to announce he'll be a Duck on May 28th, thats why (well thats my guess anyhoo). Loved his visit, better depth chart, Mom's health concerns have faded (less reason to stay close), and an offense tailor made for him are the basis of my tea leaf reading.

Oregon > Texas in so many ways

STOMP

His mom had health issues? Like what? Why do all of the best prospects always have parents with health issues :V oh well, befuddles me.

But yeah, I'm stoked. More CB predictions are going Murray's way.

In other news: Cameron Smith committed to USC. Better go elsewhere for ILB

reports are her cancer is in remission.

Then I'm a bit concerned. What if it pops back up?

Also, the meltdown on 247aggies is friggin hilarious. Both Ducks and Texas fans are laughing their asses off

Illinois WR/TE prospect Miles Boykin will announce a top 5 today. The Ducks are expected to make the cut as he recently stated he's planning an unofficial visit to UO this summer.

also of note, I just read an article that detailing how Oregon's average 2014 recruit came from farther away (1,200 miles) then any other Pac 12 school. Stanford was next at just over 1,000 miles average.
