Not me.

You probably thought Gordon Hayward would be a scrub as well.

My philosophy for this draft -- who'll mesh well with ......Nurk.
Markkanen is a player that I think Collins will cause to drop to around 10/12-ish.
He finished as by far the best 3pt shooting 7-footer in NCAA history - has a skillset that meshes extremely well with Nurk. His post game is mediocre but not bad. Not a player that you're going to ISO. His lateral foot speed is a little iffy too - I just hope he doesn't turn into MyLo while defending the p&r. This is the reason why I've been kinda lukewarm on him.
Offensively, at least early in his career, he's essentially a 7'0" Kyle Korver - automatic from three. He'll be a lot more dynamic once he tightens up his handle.
I think he's as 'flashy' as an 18 year old, 7-footer as you'll find.
I think Markkanen has too much Ilyasova/Ryan Anderson to his game, not that that's a bad thing to have but I'd prefer Nurk's frontcourt mate to be in the mold of Paul Millsap, but that's just my opinion. My philosophy for this draft -- who'll mesh well with ......Nurk.

Johnathan Motley could be a lesser version.I think Markkanen has too much Ilyasova/Ryan Anderson to his game, not that that's a bad thing to have but I'd prefer Nurk's frontcourt mate to be in the mold of Paul Millsap, but that's just my opinion.
not a chance, too many knee surgeries and he showed little signs this yrI think we should roll the dice with Giles if he's there with our 2nd or 3rd pick to pair up with Nurk, it sounds like he has the potential to be pretty good if his knees don't explode.

Wish granted:Fair argument for Sumner over Mitchell although the ACL tear kinda scares me off, especially considering how much of his potential is based on his quickness and explosion. I'd take PJ Dozier over both if he declares fwiw.
a flier? don't have that luxury with out cap situation, if we don't consolidate picks and use two if them to move up then we have to use one of them to get rid of a contract like Meyers Lemon or one of the other overpaid dregsI think that's why we have 3 picks, assuming we don't trade any of them one should be used as a flier like that. He's at least more exciting than the 2 later guys Draftexpress has us taking: Donovan Mitchell (who?) and TJ Leaf. Although also in that DE mock they have Ivan Rabb in-between our last two picks and I'd take him over Giles.

Outside of Jimmy Butler, the Bulls have been horrendous drafters lately so I'm not sure this is the best example to use for not trading up in this draft.I just don't think we should move up at all. We won't get high enough.
In 2014, Chicago traded the 16th (Nurkic) and 19th picks (Gary Harris) for the 11th pick (McDermott).
Harris and Nurkic have both been far better than McDermott.
We have 15 and 20. Those could get us up to 10 (maybe?). Not worth it.
We need to go big. This series is making it clear that you aren't a contender with tweeners starting at PF/C - unless they're uber cerebral like Draymond.
Zach.
Collins.
This kid, man. Once he shoots with a bit more consistency...watch out. SG version of George Hill.
And I don't even think it's that bad. His misses are rarely left or right, it's just his release point/timing that gets out of whack at times. He's a jumpshot away from being a really intriguing prospect - he'd go in the 13-17 range if he did.
Low risk, high reward -- especially late in the first round or in the second round.
