I know it a summer league game but it still was a championship game. I was seeing if Swanigan and Layman was going to show up. They both did and brought it in the game especially Swanigan what a great stat line for him and Vonleh you better be looking over your shoulder.

How did Stokes do tonight, I saw him drain a jumper and take a nice charge but I missed a chunk of the game
Same as the other games. Shot well. But his defense in the fourth quarter was shit.

Honestly if our summer league team had one real point guard they probably win the game.

Our big tandem was completely worn down from carrying the load every night for a week. That had a lot to do with our fade at the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed rooting for this overachieving team.

It pretty much ended like thought. The Lakers had a pretty deep sl team and ran an up tempo offense with a lot of shooters. Walton is definitely using the GS formula.

But there were only two things I cared about and that was Caleb and Jake and both played well enough to give me hope for playing time next season and beyond.

If I had time to actually scout all of the prospects I would have been on him a long time ago. The kid has been dynamite from the pre-draft time all the way up to now. Reading on him tonight it sounds like Magic was praying he would be there at 27 to draft. He was one of the best players in the draft combine game.

He's going to be a good player in the NBA and it looks like a steal at 27. It annoys me the Blazers didn't draft him as I like his potential and ceiling much more than Swanigan's.

At 6-9 with a 7-0 wingspan he was top 5 in lane agility and shuttle drills

How the hell did this guy fall to 27? I can totally see this guy being the steal of the 2017 draft in 2-3 years

I am honestly amazed we went as far as we did. The team showed a lot more than I thought it would. Can't wait for September!

Been on who? You didn't quote a post which refers to the player your talking about, you just jumped right into using pronouns.

It's possible, but right now, KK didn't make all-summer league team, Biggie did.

I don't know if Thomas or Blue is there 2 way player and if not if I was Olshey you have thinking both players are better than Pat. You have to try to sign one of them and let Pat go.
Matt Thomas was a deadly shooter at Iowa State and played solid defense his Junior and Senior seasons. He was really the 3rd or 4th option in college and just stroked threes. He can shoot for sure. I never imagined him making an NBA roster, but if he can shoot the way he did (14-16 from three) over the final three games, he may find himself on a roster. Love Matty Ice!

Yeah I had to look him up a few days ago after watching one of their games. He was on fire.

That may be the most unintentionally funny thing I've ever read in this forum.

Pretty much the definition of 20:20 hindsight. Basically, if only I'd known this guy was this good, I would have known he's this good.

Then why don't you have Neils job, or at least a GM job in the NBA, or at very least a director of college scouting? Your talents are clearly going to waste.

He showed glimpses in college, but the guy averaged 10 points a game on a team that needed more scoring. He disappeared in games. It's not like he was on a team with so much talent that he never got his touches. You could tell he had talent, but he never would take over.

Well he's only played like 6 SL games so we don't even know if he's a good NBA player or just a SL all-star, so there's really nothing to be hindsight 20:20 about. That said I sure like his combination of length/athleticism/skill set.

I let them know I'm not interested

Yeah it is. It's not like he's gotten any longer, more athletic or skilled since the draft. All your praise of him has come since the draft. It is, by definition hindsight.

Right...

Liked for actually responding to the post and wanting to talk basketball.

He was almost a 16/10 guy last year at Utah. He was a horrid 3pt shooter in college and I'm guessing that's why Neil and Terry passed on him.

Idk. Kid looks like a steal to me at 27.
