It looked to me like Leonard really re-injured his ankle when he stepped on a teammate's foot on the sideline. It rolled pretty good at that point. Zaza's contact later just made a bad situation worse. Do I think Pachulia intended to hurt Leonard in that play? No. Do I think he has a nasty habit of sliding into a player's landing space? Yup.

Gosh, does that make me a whiny ass Blazer fan?

Sliding into a players landing space, is intentionally trying to hurt someone.

Zaza Pachulia played great defense on that play and was penalized for nothing. There was literally no contact on that play at all.

Another side note about all this, even if the Warriors win it all, their title will be plagued with another asterisk due to injuries. Just like when Love and Kyrie didn't play a couple years ago. So that makes me a little happy..haha

Nah. The Lakers' title in 1988 doesn't have an asterisk due to Isiah Thomas' injury. The Pistons' title in 1989 doesn't have an asterisk due to Magic Johnson's and Byron Scott's injuries. The Cavaliers' title doesn't have an asterisk due to Curry's injury. As time goes on, the details never matter. Many championship teams could be discounted if you look for injuries in all the teams they played in the playoffs.

I completely agree with you, but in the short term, it will be brought up. I'm just trying to hate on the Warriors, that's all.

Whoever wins the ship this year, they should have an asterisk due to the Bosnian Beast's injury!

I agree with Pop 100% on this one. When a player is in the air, he is vulnerable. You don't undercut a player who leaves his feet and you don't side your foot into his landing zone. It's a dangerous play that puts a player at risk for injury. I don't give a shit about intent. When you make a play that puts another player at risk, you deserve to be penalized for your actions. No one should have to try to guess you're intent.

Either you did it, or you didn't. Pachulia clearly slid his foot into Leonard's landing area and Leonard did land on his foot, rolling his ankle. It was Pachulia's reckless action that caused the injury. It was a dirty play. You just don't do that shit, whether it's a rec league game of the WCF.

BNM

But....but...the Warriors are a super team. Why would they have to play dirty?

Sarcasm aside pachulia is a dirty fucker

1) Hahahaha! I remember when Pops said Bruce Bowen wasn't dirty. At the time, youtube was relatively new, and I assume he didn't know about it. So, ever since then my attitude has been "to heck with that guy."

2) Unsurprisingly, I'm pissed at the league, and at the player's union. Didn't they learn anything from Steve Nash's playoff injury (via a dirty play by Robert Horry). The fans, teams, and scorekeepers should be back at least another 4 feet. This is what exacerbated the injury, stepping on his own teammates foot... who was not even in the game.
