Because I won more head to head. I BEAT Steelers. Why should I be punished?
Yeah, and Perez beat you, but you were given an opportunity to avenge that defeat. Steelers never received that same opportunity to avenge his loss to you. Yes, you have a better overall head to head record, but it's only because a quirk of the schedule granted you more opportunity.

All I'm saying is that this is why ESPN has their rule where head-to-head isn't used on 3-ways if the number of games between all parties isn't even. There's logic behind it.

What? Since when should "the chance to avenge a defeat" come into play for a tiebreaker? That's not a quirk at all. If he beat me and Perez over 2 games, he would've guaranteed himself the h2h tiebreaker. I would've had to win all 3 games to guarantee it. You can look at it either way.

All I know is that pro leagues dont have this dumbass rule. If you think ESPN is more logical that those pro leagues then idk what to tell ya... I have the highest winning percentage of all games. I should win the head-to-head tiebreaker. If it was someone else in this same position, I'd say the same thing. That rule is stupid and annoying.

I would agree with this if it wasn't fantasy football. Points for is the usual go to as h2h isn't really h2h because it's fantasy and the teams don't play each other in any actual way. But with that said, you intended h2h to be the tie breaker which is fine. It will only matter if things stay tied after this weekend. It is a very touchy subject, and I would suggest having an outside arbitrator make a ruling (potentially @PtldPlatypus ). Just my thoughts.

For what it's worth I think total points should be more important than head to head. Head to head in this game can mean one team had a couple good players on bye, or injured a particular week. I'm not speaking about you and steelers, just in general there are so many things that could cause someone to have a really good week or really bad week, that I think consistently having a better score is more impressive than head to head.
This was a general statement.

I agree. Good idea for a change for next year.

Kinda like your arbitrary trade deadline rule.

There should be no ruling. We should follow the rule that is in the league settings.

Yet another thread derailed by arguing about rules...

I'm willing to take the blame for this one as well.

If TrailBlazer beats Perez it won't matter, so hopefully he does.

Yeah, something similar happened on nfl.com when we had tiebreakers set for head to head. After that season we switched to points. I think points for is by far the easiest way to do it, but the league was set up as head to head.

Good strategy. Get rid of owners that kick your teams ass. :biglaugh:
You've been worse than me the past two years, I'm not worried about the guy who constantly finished 5th out of 10 people LMAO

I'm rooting for Perez vs TrailBlazer, Robots vs Steelers, and Bleh vs Poop match-up this week to all be a tie.

For the record, the tiebreaker rule could come into play for the two bye teams too. If I win and Trailblazer18 and PDX Reign both lose we'd have a 3-way tie for 1st through 3rd. I'd be 2-1 against those 3, TB18 would be 1-2, and PDX Reign would be 1-1. If TB18 and I tie then I would get the tie breaker because I am 2-0 against him even though he has me by over 100 points. If PDX Reign and I tie then he would get the 2nd seed because he beat me in our only matchup. So I need either both to lose or just TB18.

How does PDX Reign compare to you and TB18 in terms of total points?

TB18 is over 100 points ahead of us so he's most likely going to finish 1st in points. I'm 29 points up on PDX Reign so it is still up in the air who will finish with more.

I'm rooting for you to be replaced next season.

I'm rooting for you to not be the commish next year.

Funny. Our current overall record in this league is 21-17 for both of us. We are both equally mediocre.

You will not be in this league next year.

I mean Im not in charge, and Im new to the league, but besides kind of challenging the rules I dont really believe he’s done anything worthy of not being allowed to play...
I realize its not up to me, and heck Im awful at this game, and my noobishness has definitely come out. Just unless more has gone on then Ive read (and I certainly havent read everything), I dont see why he shouldnt be invited back, he’s been an active participant, he has a good team too.

Anyways, not really my place but because its a forum Ill throw out my two cents anyways I guess.

Nah I'm tired of taking shit from him. Its one thing to discuss rules, it's another thing to pivot a tantrum over the deadline into "You're a bad commissioner / I hope youre not commissioner". If he dislikes me being commissioner that much, then he doesnt have to play. Or he can stop whining about me and then it might make sense for him to stay. It's his choice.
