Tennis, one of the only two more boring sports than, well, anything else.
Tennis is great...bowling is boring, ping pong and volleyball are boring...world poker competitions are boring...curling is boring and then...American football...golf is faster than sominex to watch...I met Homer at his golf tournament in Lane county last fall and had a couple beers...great guy!

Thank God Curling is not shown on public TV. Sadly, bowling and world poker is shown.

I've played several sports: baseball, basketball, billiards, bowling, foosball, football, golf, ping pong, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and various water sports. Those are the sports I can recall at the moment.

In many cases for me, playing sports is a lot more fun than watching them.

With that said, I'm a Yankees fan and have been ever since my father and grandfather introduced them to me as an ankle biter (early 1980s). :P

I'll bet you've never played pong. Ask you dad about it, I'm sure he remembers.

As a side note and my claim to fame, I once knew the attorney that worked on the copyright to Pong. Yes, I do lead an exciting life.

Lanny, we actually had the pong system and I played it often with dad. After a while he would get upset losing to his 7 year old son. Haha.

Well. The Yanks lost one due to a tie solo HR and a go ahead. Hope its not an 2018 seasonal habit.

I'm sorry, when you say 'Yanks' are you referring to the U.S. troops sent to Europe in WWI?

all my relatives in New Zealand, Australia and Ireland call us yanks...some they call wankers

questioning choices makes no sense Bones...some people don't like broccoli
It's the equilivant of you not liking broccoli because it's green, but you loving green beans at the same time. Makes no sense.

Haha. You still don't get what I'm questioning. You said you don't like football for things that basketball has.. So that makes no sense. That's what that analogy is too. I pointed that out because I thought it was funny that you were complaining about something that's in almost every sport and you came at me with a ton of weirdness, and since then every reply has nothing to do with what I'm talking about :smiley-laugh:

ESPN is starting to cover the MLB the same way they cover the NBA. The constant Stanton/Judge/Sanchez coverage is nauseating... And, oh look, Stanton had 5 strikeouts today and Yankee fans booed him. Well, they can still put that headline on the front page! If Stanton was 1-3 with a double, then they could've posted another article about how dangerous they are, questioning how pitchers can pitch to them, talking about how the Yanks could hit 300 homers in a season, or some other crap...

My goodness, is there a major league baseball season?

The Yankees rookie 2nd baseman, Gleyber Torres, is having a fantastic season so far.

The Yankees bats are truly frightening but outside of Severino their pitching isn’t that good. Tanaka, CC, and Gray aren’t bad but they aren’t guys that shut you down very often if at all.

Chapman is great too.
